This luxury hotel in located in a nice position, is near restaurants and shops and is next door to Central Park. I enjoyed taking the bikes the hotel offer free of charge out for a ride around the City. The Hotel has a boutique feel to it as its not a huge size, it has nice decor throughout, rooms are...

My mom wanted to return to The Mark after a memorable stay two years ago. but wasn't sure I'd like it. "The rooms are kind of small," she cautioned. Needless to say, the Sunday we arrived I knew right away that I'd never stay in another hotel but this one, at least on the Upper East Side. So chic, so...

I am thrilled that you had such an impeccable experience at The Mark and greatly appreciate you leaving this impressively detailed and thoughtful review. Your comments regarding the hotel’s redesign by Jacques Grange are a pleasure to read, and I enjoy the description of your first impression of The Mark, “So chic, so clean, so impossibly Parisian.” It seems that...

We stayed at the Mark twelve nights this September and can safely say that our stay was excellent. The location is perfect for shopping, walking in Central Park, visiting the Museums, walking to many very good restaurants and at the same time it is as quite as it should be for a nice sleep at night (even the rooms overlooking...

A small luxury hotel with a courteous staff located a few steps of the Central Park. The room located in the third floor at Madison was a bit noisy but spacious and with the best shower I have had. A very good bar and restaurant.

We had not been back to NYC since The Mark underwent extensive remodeling a few years ago. Bravo!! Clean, elegant, modernized without losing any of the small-hotel feeling. Extremely courteous staff at all levels and attentive service makes this an upper east side oasis in a very hustle-bustle city. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Services, i.e., restaurant, are elegant. Would...

The service was excellent and the room was well appointed. Although we were just in New York for one night, I could definitely stay a week at this hotel and feel very comfortable. We were upgraded upon an early morning arrival which we greatly appreciated.

The Mark is a glorious hotel, it's design and facilities are wonderful. The details in every aspect of the design are a real delight and reflect the vicinity perfectly. The devil is indeed in the detail as it is a huge shame that the hotel is let down by gross inconsistencies in staff behaviour towards clientele. We were met with...

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at The Mark. I’m delighted that you mentioned the exquisiteness of our design details, as our interior designer, Jacques Grange has re-imagined the hotel to be a beacon of high European style combined with modern American conveniences. I am however disappointed that you received an uneven...

I had heard a lot about The Mark from my colleagues and friends in London and it came highly recommended from the London hotel industry. It was definitely on the top of my list. I arrived Friday morning and received a very warm welcome. I was very early and was assured they would call me once my room was ready....

I spent just one night at the hotel and my experience was awesome, so next time I hope I can stay longer. The hotel is quite small making one feel at home away from home. The bellmen were readily available and ushered us in, and brought our luggage straight up. No fuss during check-in and we were given a late...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
