The Mark is a newer, contemporary and elegant hotel on Madison Avenue and 77th Street East in Manhattan. The Met Breyer Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park are in walking distance. Rooms are modern, but not "cold" in their design and spacious. The baths are also very nice. The restaurant and room service were very good...

I visit The Mark frequently and have come to expect the doormen to look the other way or engage in conversation with each other as I walk past them and let myself into the hotel. At this point my blood starts to boil as I approach Madison Avenue and anticipate the rude treatment. The front desk staff are no better....

This hotel is an amazing boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The bathrooms are very elegant. The breakfast was to die for, so is the brunch. We have visited on several occasions. The Mark is a must visit.

The Mark hotel was really lovely. All the staff were very helpful and the hotel felt like a home from home. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the only time we ordered room service (prices were very expensive) our breakfast was terrible!! Delivered to the room with no cutlery, by the time it arrived the food was...

The Mark is really an excellent hotel, whether you are staying on business or holiday. I have been there many times, but this recent stay with my parents really stands out. We were in New York for a family wedding and the Mark did everything above and beyond the call of duty to make the stay perfect for my parents...

When I'm willing to spend $1500+ for 2 nights at a hotel the little things really do matter. Great hotels are very detail oriented. I've stayed at the Mark in the past and found it to be a well run operation at that time. We arrived around 9 pm, and the hotel very nicely left out a tray of fruit...

We recently enjoyed yet another return to one of our favourite cities and tried The Mark for the first time, but it won’t be the last. We’re BIG Four Seasons fans but only like to stay in suites and, frankly, especially with sterling: dollar rates, we just couldn’t justify/ face/ afford the high-end suite rates at the FS this time....

I recently stayed at The Mark Hotel and have only great things to say about it. The location is a welcome respite from the chaos of mid town. The hotel is the perfect size, service is first class right from the moment your arrive through to the room service staff. Granted you pay for this experience but I found it...

The Mark is gorgeous. I was treated so well by all the staff. They made my dog and I feel more than welcome. I would live here if I could. There is 24 hour room service, including prepared meals for my dog. I loved it. The time went by so fast. Its less than a block to Central Park. Wonderful...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

But, inside, the Mark has been completely reimagined, and given new life and identity for the 21st century. Newly reborn, The Mark combines old-world comfort, avant-garde design, up-to-the-minute technology and an unprecedented level of personal service to create the finest five-star hotel of the 21st century. The delights of The Mark are both bold and discreet. The graphic lobby is colorful and convivial, situated with unique objects d’art that surprise and intrigue. Studded in one of New York's most exclusive neighborhoods, The Mark is surrounded by the world's premier museums, shops, restaurants and the splendor of Central Park.
