Cons: Yeah the hallways can do with an update but whatevs. Heater is odd, but works? We were there in December and hardly used it as normal temp was fine. Coffee was terrible, maybe that's just me. Pros: Good staff, helpful with bookings etc. Hairdryer broke and was fixed when we came back later in the day. Location is amazing...

This was a very detailed review that I know will be very helpful to many future guests. Everything seemed to go relatively well during your stay at The Newton and I hope that this means that you will give us a try again in the future. The last part of your review about Familigia Pizza, located two blocks from The...

Our ‘superior’ double room reeked of moth balls when we arrived. Fortunately, the windows open (onto an interior air shaft, not a view of the neighborhood). The room also featured an inexpensive foam mattress which was difficult to sleep on. The bathroom is no larger than 4’ x 6’ and requires one to step over the WC in order to...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and thank you for your review. I do apologize if you felt that your room was a bit snug for your liking, but we do offer a number of different rooms in the "superior" category. All rooms are not configured exactly the same and we would have been happy to give you...

We loved the room. It was plenty big for the two of us and was clean with a nice mini fridge and microwave. We had our own bathroom with a shower stall only - but a nice one! Two different neighborhood restaurants just steps away with great food and desserts. There are 3 pharmacies, a yogurt shop and a grocery...

Thank you very much about your detailed review of the hotel and the surrounding area. Just around the block from the skanky Day's Inn is Hotel Newton where accommodations are clean and customer service is kind. Can't beat this location - close to fabulous dining, subway station, and sights. . Some rooms include a kitchenette. You'll get a good night's rest here.

My first time in New York ever, and Hotel Newton is the perfect place to stay. Great location, tons of restaurants and diners down the block. All the staff members were great! Including the room service that made our bed everyday even when I didn't want it made. They gave us fresh clean towels as well. This hotel also has...

Great location! Almost diagonally opposite 169th subway station, Hotel Newton is an early 20th century hotel that hasn't been given a contemporary makeover internally. Thank goodness! We loved the slightly quirky touch, including older-style decor. Like staying in an older country hotel. Very reasonable tariff for New York. We'd stay there again. No automatic air-conditioner, which I hate. Nice hot...

I was with my family (wife and two kids) on our annual holiday trip to the city from a nearby suburb. Elevator broke on our second day! Room...

I travel alot and this the worst hotel I've stayed in the United States. I could overlook the tiny bathroom, the stale smelling room, but not the TERRIBLE SERVICE. Right on the subway line and close to diners and amenities, this was big enough for three of us to not feel claustrophobic. Make sure your room has your own bathroom! Ours did. And a kitchen. A bit musty and dated, but affordable and convenient.
