The Four Seasons is a nice place to stay. You get exactly what you would expect...a clean modern room ---nothing over the top. The view is nothing special...just NYC buildings facing north with a glimpse of the river in the way way distance. For $1000 plus for the night, no breakfast or anything else included except for the gym (EXCEPT when CLOSED on a Sunday morning from 7-10am) and a lap pool. The gym was rented out to what we were told was a private group from 7-10am on a Sunday morning! To me that is unacceptable! I CAN understand max 8 people in the gym at one time, but being that I showed up at 7am when the gym just opened, I was willing to leave when the other reservationists showed up. No luck! I would have to wait until 10:30 to use the gym. Sorry, I cannot afford to buy out your gym for 3 hours so I can have it all to myself! I'm afraid to ask what that would cost! Oh and the pool is lap size but kept at 85 degrees. I requested that the water be cooled off upon arrival to the low end of the mandated 83-85 degrees. Again, I was told they would put in a "request ticket" but unfortunately it was not honored. Someone later let me know (unlike the front desk personel and the spa desk attendent) that management does not permit cooling of the water. I chose the Four Seasons Downtown for the lap pool (25 yards) and the gym. The gym I never got to use as I was only staying for the one night. The pool caters to the kids and slow swimmers. A request to management: please cool off the water of the pool---79-82 degrees is much more comfortable for those who like to swim laps in your prized lap pool! At least for the first hour of the day, please. And really, closing the gym off on a Sunday morning for 3 hours is unacceptable and shows a disregard to your guests who are not willing to buy out the gym. In sum, I can get a comparable room for half the price at other 5 star hotels in NYC that offer a clean modern room but no pool and probably smaller gym that is available on a weekend morning.…

My stay at FS Downtown was a wonderful break. Our room was lovely. We even got an upgrade! Comfortable bed, spacious room, terrific view. The hotel did everything to make our stay comfortable notwithstanding Covid. We needed a reservation for the pool but they worked with us on that. Unfortunately the changing room and sauna were closed. So are the restaurants. Not the hotel’s fault. Blame Covid. One last thing to mention was the APP which makes everything SUPER convenient! The staff I spoke with on the app were all amazing! Especially Semir, Laura, Katie, and others whom I dealt with but forgot to ask their names. All staff were AMAZING!

Me and my husband stayed there for our wedding anniversary and it was just amazing experience.the room was very spacious and they have the best amenities in the room.very good service and the staff was very profissional and friendly from check in till check out.the breakfast experience was one of the best i ever had after such a long.big thanks to all the staff .we qil come back again.

Hands down best hotel in NY right now. Extremely clean, staff is amazing (Katie, Ziad at front desk are awesome) and rooms are spectacular. I came here as a surprise to my girlfriend for the weekend and we could have not been happier. Special mention to Thomas, who coordinated everything with his team and gave us a beautiful room. Will be back!!

I stayed here pre-covid in 2019 for 4 non-consecutive days. The room was immaculate, the service was detailed, and the staff were fantastic. As I was expecting a conference call, I asked about internet, the front-of-house staff detailed the 2 options available and bid me to test out the free service first to see if it was sufficient -they also offer a premium, much faster service at additional cost - however, the free connection was fast and I had not issues. Staff members exceptional in their eye for detail and I was impressed by the personal service they provided upon my repeat visit. Concierge staff took care to remember your name, luggage storage preferences and the like.
