Knowing little about the wider area we were exploring we also had no idea where we'd end up for the night. Trip Advisor is brilliant in this situation and once again came up trumps with this exceptional B&B. Owner Ty's vision and passion shines through in every detail, from the super comfortable beds to the nourishing breakfast. The decor is...

A restored schoolhouse...beautifully done. You would never believe it was a schoolhouse. Historical pictures on the walls. Lovely, quiet rooms. Very thick towels and comfortable bed. Breakfasts were delicious. Only downside was no staff stayed on premises.

Thank you for the positive review! We have ten suites assigned to guests, and "William" (my assistant) has his own private quarters on site inside the schoolhouse. I live straight across the street and my large kitchen window faces the B&B, so I can see cars and people arriving. In case we don't notice someone arriving, there are always personalized...

Perhaps the most impressive BnB building we have had the pleasure of visiting. Opening the wooden door entryway onto the beautiful lobby, complete with piano, massage chair, artworks, dining area, I had to turn around and say to my wife "Wait 'til you see this!" Our upstairs room, one of several 'theme' rooms - ours was the "Music" Room, others...

We found this B & B through TripAdvisor and loved our time there. It's charming, comfortable, inviting, and cozy. A welcome respite after a long day of driving. The owner, Ty, was interesting and enjoyable to speak with. Ty included some of the ingredients in our delicious breakfast from her greenhouse behind the inn. And she accommodated my dairy allergy...

From my first contact with Ty at the Torrey Schoohouse to our goodbye after a three night stay, this was a perfect B&B experience. I had some concerns about my choice of rooms because there is no elevator. I was assured that there would be assistance available to carry bags to our 3rd floor room. Sure enough, just as soon...

Our trip to the Grand 5 National Parks this fall has been AMAZING... But when I read a few of the latest write ups on Schoolhouse B&B in Torrey I thought I had made the wrong choice...but it was wonderful!!! The B&B is perfect! Clean, really an A+ in our book! Our room was on the 3rd floor- the views...

You never know what you're getting when you stay at a B&B given whatever the personality is of the proprietor. Here, there was no one to greet us--our key was taped to the staircase--but that was okay with me after a bad experience at a B&B outside Zion a few days before. So, the hostess was available by phone and...

Thanks for your review! Just to clarify for others: the key is always to a detailed personal welcome letter with information that includes my cell number and an invitation to call me, especially if help is needed with luggage. I'm either on site (or right across the street) from 3:00 pm until bedtime, popping in and out of the B&B,...

I like inns like this, and applaud the idea of the old schoolhouse, as there is a dearth of nice places to stay in this beautiful area near Capitol Reef National Park. The inn itself is charming and pretty much as shown in the pictures. I realize b&b's are not hotels, and not all properties have a front desk, but...

September & October are our busiest months. The Schoolhouse has ten rooms and doesn't require 2-night minimums, so we often have 8 or 9 couples arriving each day, even until late in the evening! And although we advertise a standard 3:00-6:00 check-in, we have guests arriving at all hours after 3:00 pm. It's not uncommon for arrivals after 9:00 pm....

The school conversion was wonderful. The enormous school hall was the guest dining room and relaxation room. There was a gas fire on in this room permanently whilst we were there. There were also many sofas, a proper massage chair and many nick-nacks, several school related. We did meet some fellow guests in this room. This place has two downsides...

Thanks for your positive review and your feedback. We always want to know how we can improve! Just to clarify first, all our beds are either King or Queen size. The only 'standard double' bed is found in the smaller room off the large 2-room family suite called the Arithmetic Room. This bed in this 'accessible' first floor room is...

Husband and I stayed for two nights and loved everything about this inn. It was once quite a grand schoolhouse and has been skillfully transformed into a delightful B&B. We stayed in the Arithmetic Room, it is very large, clean, and so comfortable. Breakfasts were out of this world. I highly recommend this inn if you are visiting Capitol Reef...
