Spent 3 nights at the inn. Met our daughter there while on business. When booking was looking for a reasonable priced hotel. At $158 including all taxes it fit the bill for a hotel near the water. The room was dingy and in need of major upgrades. The bathroom was a bit gross, toilet seat broken off, door did not...

This hotel is quite the complex. We arrived late, well after dark and finding the maor house where our room was was tricky in the dark. We could drive but I wasn't sure if we were on sidewalk or parking lot at times. The room was large but more dungeon than manor house. The room smelled musty but maybe that's...

We are glad you enjoyed your brief visit here. The Manor Building is one of our most requested buildings but, if you prefer a different building, do not hesitate to let us know. We would be happy to accommodate you. We hope you will visit us again soon.

We planned a camping trip that went south very quickly. Cranky kids, mom with a migraine, we forgot our long tent stakes, etc ... Long story short, we needed to switch to a hotel room. We called several places that were sold out. The Elizabethan luckily had a room available. They took our short notice reservation over the phone and...

A buddy and I were looking for a last minute hotel and literally everything else in the area was booked, to their advantage. We were charged $160 for a double bed room, and with literally no other options other than sleeping in our car, we went for it. We pulled into the parking lot of a dated, underwhelming beige structure...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, and I would like a address a few of the things you mentioned. It is common practice for independent hotels to work with local businesses who put their logos on room keys as advertisement. I am surprised you have not seen this before. The walls were painted recently. In...

First off, the hotel is normally $90. They charged us $160. The pool was closed, and the entire hotel smelled like extremely strong pool chemicals. Luckily the smell didn't carry into the room, which had a completely different off putting smell. There were stains on the chair, painters tape on the bathroom molding, a half used roll of toilet paper,...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I am not sure why you think our rate is "normally $90". The rate for that particular night for your room type was $139.99 plus tax, which you knew when you made your reservation online that morning. I covered the paint, ice machine, etc in my reply to your friend Sean's...

Booked a reservation online upon arrival noticed pool was closed. Asked to cancel my reservation since they could not provide amenities that were advertised on website. The front desk wouldn't let me cancel me reservation. Wouldn't even give me a discount. $160 for one night is a steep price to pay for a crap hotel with no pool.

I am sorry the filter pump on the pool broke down the day before your visit, and it took several days to get another. We are concerned about our guests and could not open the pool while it could not be filtered. The pool is a free amenity and does not affect the price of the room. I am sorry...

My wife and I booked a room for three nights over Presidents Day to celebrate our forty sixth wedding anniversary. Wanted to visit the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, do a little sight seeing, in and around the OBX and see some things we have never had the time to see on our usual one day trips to the...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Elizabethan Inn. Room 518 is one of our most requested rooms and is rented almost every night. Old hotel needing renovation. Painting needed. Windows need cleaning. Outdoor shrubs need trimming. Room had old smell to it. Wallpaper peeling in places in bathroom. Did not have a complimentary toothbrush at front desk or even one to purchase. The only real asset is the large indoor swimming pool with staff.

Very friendly, efficient service during the check in process. I stayed here based on the property being pet friendly and it was significantly more affordable than hotels just 15min away in Nags Head area. They had a walking area for dogs away from the road. The rooms was clean and cozy but a bit dated. That's ok I had my...

If it were anywhere else, I would give The Elizabethan Inn 2 stars instead of 3. But here in Manteo, there doesn't seem to be much to choose from in the way of hotels. We stayed here for a week for business. The front desk and housekeeping employees are nice. The decor is very dated. It's all tolerable, except the...

I am sorry we do not have coffee in the lobby. There are several places, the closest being 1/3 of a mile, to which the front desk could have directed you for fresh coffee.
