Went down for a quick 3-day get away and had a great time. People were so nice. Great accommodations. Like someone else said, the bed was a little firm and a small fridge in the room would have made it perfect. Great location, great views,...More

Not sure what the best part was: location, charm, hospitality, or ambience! The Roanoke Island Inn had it all in spades. Rocking chair porch overlooking the water, waterfront walks, summer house (or folly) in the garden, colorful koi pond, round-the-clock snacks, and a stable of...More
This was our 3rd time staying at the Roanoke. My husband and I enjoy relaxing on the 2nd floor porch, and love that the inn is in walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants in Manteo. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

That is not correct. I should know, because I slice and prepare the fresh fruit every morning. The guest who commented may have been up earlier than it is layed out: 8-11 am. I decide on what fruit that day and I shop for it the day before. Maybe strawberries and blueberries, bananas, apples, oranges, and/ or melons. We serve a variety of fresh fruit, Danish, muffins, bagels, yogurt and about 7-8 varieties of cereals. Instant oatmeal. We do not have cooking facilities so this " continental" self serve breakfast is much more than most.
