Our one night stay started with us opening the door to an unclean room. The front desk is super slow!. There were four of us and we only were given 3 towels. The air conditioner was so loud too. But, worse than that is the fact that the walls are so thin that I opted to deal with the loud...

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. There are times that the front desk does get backed up, but we do allow early check ins to hopefully alleviate the bottleneck at the normal check in time. Also, we are renovating very soon!

I stayed here and paid almost 300 for one night. It was decaying, I was afraid to touch anything in room. There were drips all over the doors. I went to the front desk to tell the clerk and was assigned a new modern room. I am sickened by the original room and the insult that they thought I should...

Quiet standard hotel situated a short 2 blocks from many shops and restaurants, this was a very nice stay. Room contained 2 comfy king size beds, spacious floor plan, fridge and coffee maker standards. Some rooms with ocean views.

Stayed here for one night before checking into a condo. One block from beach and 3 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. Place was very quiet at night, lots of families. Room was clean, nothing fancy and right for the price. Check-in was easy and very friendly, free parking.

I don't generally write reviews unless it is either great or terrible. I am patient with hotels when there are problems if they are accommodating in resolving the issue. I stayed here with my daughter for a college scouting trip. It is ridiculously pricey for what a total dump it is. The pictures on the websites are total fraud! They...

Don't stay at this hotel. We were told and charged additional fee for an updated room - desk clerk said it was a new room. Not even close to a new room. I complained on checkout and wanted my updated room fee of $35. I emailed the manager Jim Silver with no response. Issues: 1. Stained carpeting 2. Stained chairs...

Do not believe any good reviews you read. I am a young guy and not very picky or critical of anything, but this place was pretty gross. My gf and I were not expecting much, but it was much worse than we thought. We had to go buy our own sheets and pillows. Do not stay at this place at...

I liked the location and the room; although it didn't have a kitchenette. We were the first ones to stay in a newly remodeled room and it upset me that there wasn't a cover over one of the electrical outlets. It just had live wires poking out and with small children that was a concern for me.

We have stayed at this motel almost annually for 20 years because we love the location. Park your car for days if you want and walk to restaurants nearby and the beach. Over the years, we have seen it go through ups and downs. In general they are in a continuos state of remodeling with a mix of updated and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pacific Shores Inn is a quaint inn located at the north end of Pacific Beach. Many of the rooms offer some views of the ocean, and restaurants and shops are just a couple of blocks away. The boardwalk is a 2.5 mile stretch that will take you from the north end of Pacific Beach all the way to the south end of Mission Beach. As you stroll down the boardwalk, you will find ocean front shops and restaurants as well as the famous Belmont Park in Mission Beach. Bike, and surfboard rentals are located within two blocks so there is no reason to pack those items when visiting us. And, every room has a microwave oven, refrigerator, and a coffee maker for your convenience. Some rooms also have full kitchens for those who require that. Parking, and a continental breakfast which includes juice, coffee, and danishes are always free. ... more   less
