We always stay here when we visit San Diego. Rooms are clean, we like the breakfast, location, and price. Our stays are always pleasant. We are relatively close to the airport and to the attractions we are interested in.

The decor of the hotel was not as nice in the pictures, but it was a nice hotel. The desk clerk at the hotel is what made it special. He was extremely nice and helpful. The room was a standard, clean hotel room. The hotel overall was nice, but the breakfast room is way too small for the size of...

Good sized and well appointed clean rooms, as I said it may not be five star, but if you want a clean, well furnished and friendly hotel, this is the place. We didn't use the pool, breakfast was better than many, staff friendly and helped with tourist information. we were visiting from the Uk although we hired a car, we...

Clean and comfortable. The only drawback is the location. A bit away from downtown and the beaches and few quality restaurant choices in the area. Overall, a great value and would be a solid hotel choice for a couple with two kids.

Thank You Travis S., Anytime we get honest objective feedback about us we are grateful. While we are directly next to the major attractions, as you found out, it is a short trip down the 8 freeway, or the 94 freeway depending on whether you are headed towards Sea World, San Diego Zoo, or the the lively Gaslamp Quarter, which...

We think this is the best deal in town. The price is excellent and the breakfast is very good. The location is good as our daughter attends San Diego State! We like that it is close to the school and to a grocery store. We will stay here again and again!

On Friday 2nd May arrived at 3.pm having requested a quiet room ,but we were close to the pool that was being used by some very noisy young adults drinking. We also noticed a lot of banners etc. outside the rooms with KCCO (Keep Calm Chive On). The noise got really loud when more adults went to the pool and...

It's not a 5 star hotel, but I would highly recommend the Lamplighter. The staff was very helpful and friendly, my room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. I was there to visit my son at SDSU and the location was very convenient. I did not use the pool, but there seemed to be families that were. The...

We stayed at this Best West, near SDSU. I didn't particularly care for the area, but that's the way it is with some college towns. The hotel, itself, however, was fine. The rooms were extremely clean and the bathroom was immaculate! The continental breakfast was plentiful and they even served hot oatmeal, which I prefer. The staff was very friendly,...
