Went here for a business meeting, the hotel is somewhat out dated, the rooms need a refurbish, elevators were very slow and crowded. The hotel is in a good location as (that was about the only plus). Does offer a free hotel shuttle to airport but you have to reserve as it gets crowded. The breakfast was sub optimal, the...

We spent the night at the Doubletree after attending a friend's birthday party ion Little Italy. It's an older property but well maintained from what we could see. The location is excellent if your activities are located in Little Italy. The SD Trolley stop is only a few blocks away to go further downtown or other locations. Our room was...

Located just minutes from Little Italy and a longer walk to the Gas light but in a great location. The rooms are good size and the internet is pretty good. If back in the San Diego area I would stay here again.

Good hotel for the price. Location is close to Balboa Park and San Diego Zoo. Clean & comfortable. Room service could be improved. Coffee in lobby should be kept up. One day it was cold and full of coffee grounds. Staff could be a little more conscientious.

Be advise! the hotel requires a hard copy of the credit card to be kept on file upon check-in. This can be a potential risk for fraud. Recommend the hotel review the current policy. I requested the hotel return the original receipt upon check-out.

In a last minute decision to stay downtown for 2 nights of my vacation, I chose this location because it was the only one offered that I had enough points to book. It is right on the tip of Little Italy and my and my friend were able to enjoy a couple authentic eateries just steps away. Also, having the...

In 2014 we went to the Downtown San Diego Doubletree Hotel by Hilton for one night arriving on a Sunday before Thanksgiving. I had an emergency business meeting that Monday morning and since we were going to visit family in LA for Thanksgiving, I decided we would fly-out early and head to San Diego and make an enjoyable excursion. This...

Hotel experience was good. Hard to tell where the Lobby Entrance was located. If parking your car, the egress was very narrow. Be aware if you are parking a large vehicle. Breakfast was good but my room service meal was not very good.
