Exterior is outdated and parking charge at $35 a night is EXCESSIVE. Otherwise clean and very convenient to Gaslamp district and the airport. SUPERB restaurant across the street on the water!! Enjoyed our stay BUT they should do something to the exterior and not stick it to you on the parking

I booked 3 rooms over the phone and they gave me a price that included parking for 1st responders. When I got to the hotel they told me I had to pay for parking in addition to the given price. I requested to talk to the manager and he woudn't honor regardless of giving me details and names of people I had spoke with. My family was tired and we had no other option but to pay for parking separately. After check out they still charged me for the parking I had already paid. I had to wait a long time on the phone to get the problem fixed. Very disappointed and underappreciated.

The property was great, the air conditioning unit in room 949 was a bit loud. The balcony could have been a bit more tidy as well as the outdoor furniture. A wipe-down of the balcony chairs would have been most welcome.

Stayed from 4/1/2021 to 4/4/2021. This hotel has the most ridiculous policy to lock up its lobby restrooms even past 8:00 am. My wife has health issues which requires her to frequently use room bathroom and I normally go to lobby bathroom to answer my nature call. On 4/2/2021 one of the staff opened the restroom for me after it was still closed at 8:30 am. On 4/4/2021 8:20 am, I found the lobby restroom locked again and asked the girl, who was the sole assistant at front desk to kindly arranged it to be opened, and she refused point blankly in most obnoxious and rude manner. It was an attitude i would associate with bossy government officers and not with star hotel where I am paying $ 200 ( including parking charges ). Whatever the advantages this hotel might offer was totally negated and it really spoiled my stay. For gods sake ! Instal a card key access lock if homeless intrusion is your worry! Even downtown New York hotels doesn’t lock its lobby restrooms to its customers ! And train your staff to deal with guest in courteous manner and respect. Not like they are doing favour to us !
