It's a very Unique boutique hotel with a charming atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and the public spaces are very modern. Great service and highly recommended for parties, dining, and or vacations.

Our stay at the pearl was so fantastic, we extended and then came back the next week. The rooms are mid-century stylish and the service is beyond exceptional. The staff are amazingly accommodating and thoughtful. Best part is the restaurant and bar - the food and cocktails are spot on. The vibe is great and the location even better. Could...

We stayed at the hotel three nights. The pictures online make it seem a little nicer than it actually is but the rooms are cozy enough. I definitely recommend a balcony room not on the restaurant side. The restaurant area gets very busy in the evening and can be noisy. But it is also beautiful. They show movies on a...

Nice location. Nice room. Once a week a film outside at the pool. Dining and drinking there. Option to get a bicyclette for free for a ride to the near harbor. Very good service. They helped us a lot. Thanks again

The Pearl is a renovated motel (think motel not hotel and you will have a better idea of what this property is like before you get there). The rooms have been updated but are sparse. The bathrooms are clean but in need of renovation and innovation to figure out how to make room for your stuff:). The bed is comfortable....

Attended a friend's wedding at this cute, retro motel. Functional and *tiny* rooms. Definitely don't book the downstairs accessible room off if the bar -- loud and found a roach. Cute goldfish bowl in each room. Should have listened to chef when he dropped by our table and casually mentioned that brunch wasn't his thing, and was mediocre at best....

My son and his girlfriend were traveling to Yuma, AZ to visit my newly pregnant daughter whose husband was recently deployed for 8 months. They had to spend the night in airport in ATL and then were rerouted to San Diego from PHX and had to take a Greyhound the next day which was the only mode of transportation to...

This wonderfully preserved/restored 'motel' from the 60's is fun, kitschy, clean, well appointed and most of all, super friendly. From comfy bed and great room amenities to the combo of pool, restaurant, bar and 60's movies poolside, there's nothing on the 'not to like' list. On Rosecrans but quiet. The styling, decor, music, graphics - all a throwback in the...

The folks at the Pearl work hard to make your experience great. They found the perfect property to turn into a place that makes you feel like you went back in time....with all of the necessary modern amenities. Great pool, great bar, classic Shag Lounge and a really good restaurant. The rooms were very nice. Not too big or small...and...

I travel a lot for work and am always looking for interesting places to stay that aren't your average Marriott or Holiday Inn. The Pearl is my new favorite San Diego stay (just edging out Hotel Vyvant). The Pearl is small and adorable. It's got this cozy, beachy, mid-century vibe that's very welcoming. Once you're through the door, it's like...
