There was a mix up in my hotel reservation at another hotel, and I was just glad at that point that we found an empty room *somewhere*. (It was comic-con week-end) But this hotel looks like a very old motel with a very cool façade added to the front of the building. The room was small and dark and didn't... More

Porto Vista Hotel was a fantastic venue for a big college reunion for my fraternity. We packed 150 people on the roof of the venue, and had an amazing view of the San Diego bay as the sun set. The location was fantastic as well - we were close to all the hot spots in Little Italy as well as... More

Hotel well situated in Little Italy area. Close to good restaurants and down road from the waterfront area. Shuttle service provided by hotel excellent. Enjoyed breakfast while taking in the view. Also enjoyed lovely sunsets from rooftop area. Staff helpful. ATM available on first floor as well as lots of reading matter on happenings taking place in San Diego.

We stayed here for 3 days and I really wanted to like this hotel. It looked cute and while it wasn't very spacious, it had everything we needed. But there were several issues I couldn't overlook. First of all, the room was LOUD. It opened out into the parking area and the doors to the restaurant and bar. So beeping... More

Melissa, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to provide us feedback about your stay. I apologize about the breakfast confusion and appreciate you letting us know so we can correct the challenges immediately. We are looking into the humidity in the rooms. This is the first we have encountered the issue, but the weather has been... More

I have travelled quite a bit over the past 10 years, and while the Porto Vista wasn't one of the more extravagant hotels I've stayed in, it had plenty of positives to afford a very good rating, starting with the workers there, all pleasant and responsive. The valets were outstanding, quick, outgoing, customer oriented, etc., can't say enough about those... More

One of the nicest most affordable hotel i have ever stayed at. I booked through priceline and once i got to the hotel, i was upgraded to a better room. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. I can't wait to book the same hotel again. Great customer service!

Our stay at Porto Vista was not without issues so let's go the the positives. Jose & Josh are the valets. Consistently and repeatedly they told us about fun and interesting things to do, the best places to eat, find coffee and enjoy Little Italy San Diego. Without us asking Jose told us a few highlights and his tips were... More
