The hotel was in a great location, and the free shuttles to the airport and downtown were good and the staff were really helpful. The rooms were comfortable enough, nothing special, but very reasonably priced.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 15 February 2017 via mobile

When researching hotels in San Diego, I was looking for good shuttle service, walking distance to restaurants and a smoking area for my mother and TripAdvisor was right. I chose this hotel based on the great reviews for Jose, coordinator of shuttle service. Like others have said, he goes out of his way to provide excellent advice and service. He...

The hotel is not up to the standards of today. Room was dull. and the bed not comfortable for two. Breakfast was below par. The corridors were sad looking. Location close to little Italy was fine. Glad we only stayed one night.

My wife and I wanted a short get away and chose the Porta Vista Hotel in Little Italy San Diego. I've stayed there once before, 1st time for my wife and we both Loved It!. The Hotel is clean and the Staff are simply Stellar in their efforts to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. It is somewhat dated...

We checked in on 4/19/2017 for a two night stay with our children who's ages range from 6 and 2. Loved the location, the hotel room itself was good. Would have enjoyed a great deal more had construction not been taking place and causing very loud noise from 6:30 am until around 4 pm. Although this was not the hotels...

It is a nice small hotel, rooms were clean an decent. Front desk girls were nice and friendly. Great location in the heart of Little Italy one of my favorite places in San Diego. For the price it si well worth it, I was just disappointed with the bartenders at the happy hour they advertise so much about, they were...

I did not have a good experience at the Porto Vista Hotel. Despite beautiful online pictures and a great location in Little Italy, the hotel was a complete disappointment. I had three rooms in 4 days. My first room was a small room that was dark, musty and light shone through the door. I asked for another room and got...

Let me start by saying that my wife and I got "catfished". We would have given this place zero stars if possible. We arrived to find that it looked nothing like the pictures and the room was very small and didn't seem clean at all. My wife and I decided to be good sports and stick with it since we...

We checked in on a Thursday for a romantic night in San Diego. When we opened the balcony door, an overwhelming smell of tar permeated our room. Instead of candles, we left the room and came back to a giant can of Lysol on the bedside table. No follow up concern from management. Nothing. I've stayed at a ton of...
