I have reasons to visit San Diego often. Hillcrest House is now always my choice for where to stay. The house is lovely and the host is charming and genuinely committed to providing a comforable and pleasant stay. The neighborhood has much to offer including great restaurants. Public transportation to downtown and other locations is convenient and straightforward.

Ann's easy style makes Hillcrest House feel like home, except better. Her breakfast table is filled with unlimited light treats as well as interesting guests and fun banter with Ann herself. (She calls it the Table of Knowledge and we agree.) Her reasonable price and great, walkable location attracts people who are interested in the close-by multitude of museums, great...

Hello Janis, It was a treat hosting you and Mike at Hillcrest House. Coming into the house and seeing you two relaxing in the parlor each evening was just like having family visiting. Hope to see you both back again soon! Cheers, Ann

We absolutely loved this B&B!!! The Hillcrest neighborhood is really nice, with good places to shop, eat, and hang. As a gay couple, it was the perfect location. And - it's so close to everything you can imagine - no more than fifteen minutes from the airport and downtown; we walked comfortably over to Balboa Park. And a quick drive...

My husband and I have just returned from a relaxing stay at Hillcrest House. We stayed in the Balboa room which has an adjoining den where it is nice to "spread out" to relax and read. There is also a front porch and a patio table/chairs. King-size bed was very comfy . We enjoyed our breakfast each morning and chatting with...

Ann is the best hostess ever and has made this B&B into an amazing place to stay. She has brought this old house back fron tha brink and made it into a wonderful period experience. The breakfasts are healthy and fresh.she makes fresh baked goods every morning.

For our first trip to San Diego, my husband and I were a little torn where we wanted to base our vacation. Luckily we found Hillcrest House and loved every second! It was a great B&B in a central location so that it only took us ~15-20 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go around town. Plus the on-site...

Ann, the innkeeper, was a gracious and accommodating host who helped us with many great suggestions for enjoying San Diego. The B&B is conveniently located with easy access to Balboa Park and all the...

More often than not I stay in hotels but occasionally get the urge to stay in a B&B in the hope of finding a little gem and this place did not disappoint. I arrived later than usual one Sunday evening following a delayed flight from London, fortunately this B&B is not far from the airport, on seeing the property for...

We spent four days at Hillcrest House and had a wonderful time. Ann was a wealth of information helping us to plan our days. The location was very convenient to the airport, restaurants, and downtown. We found it easy to visit many of the local attractions. Breakfast was healthy and delicious.
