What a great affordable place to stay in downtown San Diego. Close to Santa fe train stop, tons of restaurants, brewpubs, and shops. The staff was always very helpful. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay for a short or lengthy stay.
I loved this hotel. Customer service was superb. Beautiful area close to delicious food and drinks. Great view and very comfortable beds. All the staff was very friendly Can’t wait for the next trip to San Diego. Definitely staying here again.
This is a great value hotel in an amazing location. Facilities are basic, but you have everything you need in a perfect spot for exploring San Diego. The restaurants, breweries, markets and cafes of Little Italy are on your doorstep and it’s also possible to walk to the Balboa Park and the Harbour from here. La Jolla and mission Beach are short taxi journeys away.
My husband and I recently stayed here for 3 nights. We loved it! The staff was really friendly and helped us get around town. Macy and Vince really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was decent sized for 2 people and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the tv had plenty of channels to watch. The shower in the bathroom worked well and had plenty of hot water with good water pressure. And the location was truly excellent, right in Little Italy. There were loads of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Tourist attractions and the Little Italy trolley stop were a short distance away. Everything we needed was within walking distance which was great. This hotel is an excellent value. I highly recommend it!
Property is in a good location and the staff is very nice. However, the room had a funny smell and was very damp all of the time. Our towels would not dry the whole weekend we were there due to the dampness. The AC was also very loud. The walls in bathroom were wet with condensation. Although I loved the location I would not stay here again.
Hotel was ok at most. We booked through hotels.com and the photos of the room we selected were not the same ones as online. We also brought a mini speaker for the room and we’re told by staff (due to lame neighbors) to turn it off. It wasn’t loud music at all, to respect others, and it was 10 pm on a Saturday night… just seemed really out of place for this style hotel. It’s nothing fancy and was loud in general so music shouldn’t be shamed at an early time on a weekend night in downtown San Diego. It was also super loud in the room, we were placed on the street side and every 30 minutes-1 hour the church bells would go off for 3 minutes at a time from about 5 am on. Barely slept due to this so that was unacceptable for me. Wouldn’t come back here but I guess you get what you pay for.…
High recommend this hotel! Stayed here for a weekend; it was very clean and overall great experience! Very central but far away enough from the crowds. The plaza is right around the corner and it has a food lab with lots of good options. I would definitely stay here again.
The entire experience with Urban Boutique Hotel was beyond our expectations. The manager and all the staff were so friendly and engaging. The rooms were clean and quiet with comfy beds and linens. We will definitely go back for a longer visit!
