First of all I would like to say overall I think for the price, it was a good deal. The location is great- downtown within walking distance of Balboa Park and the river. The hotel is small and cozy. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters. We were pleasantly surprised to see our room consisted of two...

Thank you for your review. We get many comments about how excellent our location is, Thank You for mentioning. I am happy to hear that you found our hotel in Little Italy "cozy" Yes, the suites do offer some privacy with lots of room. You comment on the walls being scuffed is noted. The walls get banged up a little...

The very first impression when you access the premises of Vyvant is that is cozy and different. In a good way. Then you stay there and realize how much this place needs small and some major improvements. There is a smell wafting in all the place, a weird dumpy and old smell. Rooms look nice the first 5 seconds then...

Dear Robmav, Thank you for your review. We absolutely do appreciate the feedback and take your comments as intended. I apologize that your stay was anything less than amazing. We are working on upgrading breakfast and also working on some of the smaller items you mentioned. Rest assured, your room was the exception, not the rule. Thanks again for your...

We've stayed at this hotel for about the past 5 years since moving to Southern California. However, we've noticed a significant change in quality that we believe is due to new management cutting costs. The previous management had a wonderful cheese, meat, and wine/beer hour included in the evening - as well as a fantastic breakfast that included items curated...

Dear hostelguy1, Thank you for reviewing our hotel and for being a valued repeat guest. It appears that your last stay was less than satisfactory, especially with the high standards you have come to expect from us. I do appreciate the feedback, and please know that we are looking at upgrading breakfast. There is no excuse for us missing our...

Had to wait for an hour until we were even able to check in because the front desk wasn't staffed. Then we were lead to our room which was smelling musty and it wasn't really what I'd call clean. It's right next to the freeway and also the airport is close, which means lots of noise. Location is not really...

Dear Celinesophie90, Thank you for your review. We do staff our front desk 24 hours a day and outside of our team showing our guests to their room or running downstairs to accommodate a guest request there is always someone present. We frequently receive reviews regarding how clean our hotel is and how perfectly placed we are in Little Italy....

Thanks for noting how well our hotel and location works when travelling with friends. We have a variety of rooms including the one you stayed in, somewhat unique in that one bedroom has two beds, and one bed in the other. I'm glad it worked out well for you. David.

We chose the Hotel Vyant based on the location and proximity to family. We found it to be clean and the staff helpful and friendly. They had a continental style breakfast in the lobby in the morning. It was a bit noisy due to the location being on a busy street but not too horrible. They do not have a...

I stayed here a second time last night and I almost don't want to advertise how awesome this hotel is because I don't want it to get too popular. But this gem is too good not to share. If plane noise or traffic bothers you it might not be the place for you but I loved being able to watch...

The staff were all really friendly. The room was just perfect and had all of the essential amenities (I had a Queen bed and kitchenette). My only complaint would be that I had to eat in bed because there wasn't a dining table and chair.... I doubt most people would complain about that due to eating out. I wish I...

This is a great hotel full of old world charm. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. The layout of the property is quirky and adds a lot of uniqueness. Just about in the center of Little Italy we didn't need a car at all during our stay.
