This hotel looked good on the web site. Maybe the pic were taken years ago. The first room was dirty and blood on the wall. Moved me to another room. Furniture is pressed wood. No dressers. no closets. coffee pot broken and only 1 coffee pod. The fridge leaked. Bed bottoms ragged. Worst thing there was NO soap. The people at the desk were very friendly and tried to help.

Had multiple stays at Riverley Inn, each time Jonathan has been accommodating and provided great service. Hot tub is warm and clean, extra bedding available upon request, comfortable rooms, great T v's, drinks and snacks in the lobby.

For the money this was one of worst hotels we have ever stayed. The shower didn’t work, no blankets. The inside looked really run down. The floor in the room was warping. We paid over $150.00 for the one night.

I don't normally write reviews, but I had a terrible stay. When I arrived, the motel tacked on a bunch of added fees that were not initially listed on the reservation - pet fees, and most ridiculously of all, a weekend upcharge, which was not insignificant. I felt cheated, but after a long day of traveling and no other housing options, what other choice did I have? I checked into the room and the bed cover had holes all over it. Even early in the day when there weren't too many people checked in yet, the walls were very thin and I could hear everything going on outside. I stayed in the room for about 2 hours trying to find other lodging accommodations, and then when I did requested to cancel the reservation on the grounds that there were sneaky add-on charges. I was told that since it had been 2 hours, not 1 hour since I checked in, I would not be able to get a refund for the night, which I found ridiculous - it seemed like they made up that rule for the situation so that they could keep my money. Regardless, I cancelled since I couldn't stand to be at this motel a second longer! 0 out of 5 stars, would not recommend and would advise against.

If you are simply looking for a cheap place to stay that has the bare bones amenities, then this place is for you. I'll be honest, I arrived for check-in at around 9pm and the location is in a very shady area. It's in a back corner area of Mission Valley (although I think it's still Fashion Valley.. i don't get this zoning stuff) and is near the swampy area and you hit a dead end. So it can feel a bit unsafe and can feel like there are shady people about. Anyways, check-in was a breeze. The staff members that worked there were extremely nice and professional. The building itself looks nice. Doesn't look run down at all. Maybe a few graffiti and some paint/wood chipping away on the floors and railings. And as some pointed out a VERY slow moving elevator. As for my room, it was OK. Some cons: The extra lock was broken so all I had was the deadbolt. Oddly the room did not come with a chair which felt really weird. I wanted a place to sit and eat and I had to move the drawer over to the bed. There was no towel holder in the bathroom sink area only in the shower room. There was no soap dish. I hated using my soap and just leaving it on the counter. The two lamps had outlets but the USB ports (four total) were broken and did not work. Pros: Nice comfy bed. Yes there were holes and tears in the sheets but not enough for me to think it was horrible and nasty. They could be replaced but whatever. Nice shower. I mean the biggest pro was that it was a simple nice cheap hotel for a couple nights. SO yes, if you need a hotel room for just sleeping then I say give this place a try.
