So relaxing...the waves crashing underneath the bungalow, the sound of the gulls, the fresh marine air. So glad we came. Small but functional kitchen, nice shower. It would be nice if it was a little more quiet at night, but that’s ok.
Can't use enough superlatives for this place! We had a one bedroom cottage with a kitchenette and a private patio over the ocean. We could hear the ocean 24/7. The pier is wood and the wood is weathered and a little uneven, adding to the rustic feel. We had a parking spot right in front of our door. Staff was helpful and accommodating. The pier rocks with the waves, a little disconcerting at first, but it adds to the experience of being on the water.
We came after Christmas for the weekend we have been visiting for several years highly recommend it is a great place to relax. Walking distance to bars restaurants etc. we were in #12 this time a 1 bedroom had 4 people not crowded. We enjoy watching the sunsets. The staff is very efficient and hospitable. We will be back again next December.
We had a chance to stay on the pier. Check in was wonderful. We were greeted by Megan and Mo ( Mo is a French Bulldog puppy). Megan made us feel special. And Mo is adorable. We had our own private balcony. There is a full size fridge, a stove , a king size bed, and patio furniture on the balcony.. You could here the waves crashing all night and the view was spectacular. From our place we were able to watch the sun set and the sun rise the next morning . Everything was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
It's like glamping right on top of the sea! One word of caution: watch them wooden mattress box corners...youch! Don't tell anybody, but I wrapped the chaise lounge cushion around the corner because I didn't want another bruise. We came back to Cottage D for the 3rd time; you just cannot cannot beat the sleep you get here. It's kind of a honeymoon time; sleeping eating and not sleeping. I like to cook so bring some extras like scissors, colander, big coffee cup, small filter basket and my own coffee. Steamer basket, spices, cooking oil and of course food. I burned fish in foil in the oven so that didn't go over well. The lighting in the kitchen is quite dim so maybe you could burn something else and it wouldn't matter as much as fresh fish. Use a skillet and stove top and provided all purpose lighter to ignite burners.Extension cords come in handy if you have multiple electronics...we had music of our choice and speakers. So very nice. Good water pressure is shower. Dinky sink so use provided wash basin on the counter to avoid water all of the counter; the spigot twists beyond the sink area. Sprout's is a nice walk up the left hand side of Mission street up a bit. Lots of restaurants to choose from too.…
