I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the service. Staff was very nice and helpful. Amazing location, minutes away from Fenway, nearby BU campus, great restaurants and bars very close by.

You can't get a hotel closer to Fenway. The restaurant is nice and offers a variety of options. The smoked turkey sandwich is excellent. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the laundry room is convenient.

You are right about how close we are to Fenway Park. It is only a two minute walk to the main gate on Yawkey Way and many of our rooms have a view of the Green Monster. I will be sure to share your comments with our staff. They appreciate the kind words. Thank you.

Good, safe and clean option in the Fenway/Kenmore Sq area. Fairly priced with a good breakfast place downstairs. There is no room service and parking is in a garage next door. The decor is not luxurious-more of a no frills place. But it's quiet, the beds are comfy and it has what you need.

A/C in room was weak, the gym had no water,TV,towels,A/C, and the treadmill was old and didn't work correctly. Otherwise, it was ok. Historical hotel in a decent area, next to Fenway Park, decent breakfast. Updating the A/C, and Gym would be a great improvement

An older hotel that has been updated but could use a few more amenities like a full length mirror and a mirror in the bedrooms would be helpful for the suite, since one bathroom for 2 bedrooms. Staff is courteous, room was clean, a breakfast discount voucher for adjacent restaurant was a nice extra.

Thank you for responding to our survey. We appreciate the suggestions and comments that you provided. Most of our rooms do have mirrors in the bedroom areas but a few rooms do not due to the configuration of the walls and furnishings.

Hotel was very clean and the staff was very polite. While this is an old and historical hotel, updates were made to make the rooms to bring a little modern feel to the building. The room was great for a night stay, but because of the age the room followed the smaller format of older buildings. Room around the desk...

With the Hotel Buckminster being one of the oldest hotels in the city, we do have many different sized and shaped guestrooms - not standard layouts like most chain hotels. Many of our guests do appreciate the quaintness and unique features of our rooms and that adds to their experience when visiting Boston. Thank you for taking the time to...

One block from Fenway and half a block from the T this hotel is in an amazing location. Due to previous reviews I wasn't expecting much but I did come to find an excellently clean hotel and good amenities for the price. The only thing that left me feeling sore was the amount we paid for parking ($35/day) which is...

We are thrilled to see that you enjoyed your stay with us and took advantage of our great location. In regards to the rates for parking, it is the unfortunate reality that there is a shortage of parking in the City of Boston and therefore the price is higher than in many large cities - but we do maintain our...

Gal says: The hotel is located at BU and Fenway Park. The green line is 1/2 block down and the hotel is a good long walk from center city - which you can take along Commonwealth Ave or along the Charles River path... Or easily uber or subway down the way. The hotel itself is not one to choose if...

This hotel is conveniently located near Fenway Park and walking distance to several fabulous restaurants. Parking is right next door, with a special rate for hotel guests. The rooms are spacious and very clean with upgraded amenities, and the staff is pleasant & helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall the stay was pretty nice. Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Live music one evening in the lounge was great. But...showers were cold! First night water would only get to barely warm. Next day ok. Third shower, freezing cold. Would not even warm up a bit. On check out, overheard other guests with the same comment.

We apologize for the problems that you encountered with hot water during your recent stay with us. We did have a problem with one hot water boiler that services a section of the hotel and worked diligently to repair it. We realize this was an inconvenience and problem for you and would be happy to discuss it further with you...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
