Stayed here during Boston University open house and will no doubt return over the next four years. The hotel is nearly 120 years old and is generally well maintained, though she's showing her age. Definitely could use some decor updates -- but the cost would then go up about $200 a night! Reminded me of a European hotel, except rooms...

This hotel is pricey but the location is very good. Close to the Red Sox stadium around 5 min walking and close to the train station 1 min walking. The bar/restaurant inside the hotel serves good food at a nice price. Rooms need to be updated and it had a lot of humidity (smell). Overall good experience and will stay...

I chose this hotel because it was the closest one available to the Red Sox stadium & the area offers every kind of dinning option. The staff is very friendly & are accommodating if needed. The stadium is right across the street. Our room was on the 6th floor facing the stadium. The king bed was super comfortable and HVAC...

If this place were updated and new, it'd be $650 a night, based on its great location, so look at it that way....the rooms are adequate, they have a flat screen tv, ref ridge, etc etc....By farther best aspect is where it is, particularly if you're coming in to see Fenway Park or Boston U. Parking was easy and right...

Dear St Raymond, Thank you for your review! We do have a pretty cool historic property and you're right the proximity to Boston University and Fenway Park is amazing. Have you ever checked our Superior Queen room or Superior King Suite? They are pretty cool! If you ever decide to come back, try those room type. They are our most...

I searched for an affordable hotel about 7-10 days prior to our trip to Boston. I had originally booked elsewhere that was located a little further from the city. Then I found this hotel and it's location was perfect for us since we were in town to visit Boston University and Boston Conservatory. There is a parking garage (extra fee...

We stayed here the last weekend in March for a couple nights. Being a red sox fan , I was truly excited to look out my window and see fenway park. Its less then 5 minutes walk to they "T" Kenmore station. Our room was great no issues. We were given a voucher to the restaurant but we didn't use...

Been there for only one night for a business trip. Nothing special about the hotel except for the location. It is located conveniently in RedSox fenway area with short commute to longwood medical area. It is not a luxurious hotel and not the best service but good for the price.

It was a cold weekend in Boston. Our stay at the Hotel Buckminster was cold, too. Our first room lingered at 60 degrees, despite a couple of attempts by the maintenance staff to fuss with the hardware. When we moved, one of the rooms of the suite was comfortable. The television didn't work- cable kept cutting out. Maintenance person couldn't...

We started our St. Patrick's Day weekend early by visiting Boston on March 15 to see the Dropkick Murphy's. The show was at the House of Blues so we decided to stay basically across the street at the Buckminster. We drove right into the city and stayed at the adjacent parking garage. We were welcomed at the front desk and...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
