Last week, I wrote a review about our disappointing stay and dinner at the Omni Parker House. This week, I received an absolutely lovely response from the hotel, apologizing for our experience and inviting us to return. I was very pleased with this quick and understanding response, and we will give it another try when we return to Boston. Thank...

Overall the stay was nice. We did find that the room we were staying in was extremely dry, but it was February and winter. Everything else was fine. Friendly service, well situated in the city, clean, etc.

Nothing worth writing home about this place. Everything is mediocre to bad. The $10 internet per day is the icing on the cake. Maybe if you're a business traveler, but then why would you want to stay here. Spend your company's money at some place halfway modern, with character or with a friendly staff.

It appears that you did not have a typical Parker House experience, for which we apologize. As to our WiFi fee, simply join our complimentary Select Guest loyalty program and this fee is waived plus you'll receive many other "perks"!

My girlfriend and I stayed for our one year anniversary and it was tough to say goodbye. One hour after checking in, knowing it was our anniversary, there was a delivery of their famous Boston Cream Pie and Champagne. Oh and the chocolate covered strawberries, all on the house!! What a nice touch. The staff exceeded our expectations in every...

I stayed at the omni during a business trip at the end of October, 2014. The hotel rooms were small and the hotel was very "old school." I probably wouldn't stay again but it was convenient to where my meeting was being held.

Thank you Priceline! My friend and I decided on a rare BFF experience in Boston. We had tickets to Jesse Cooke at The Wilbur Theater and wanted something easy and indulgent. After months of independent searching we decided to let Priceline choose for us and were more than pleasantly surprised to get The OmniParker! The staff was great, the room...

We always stay at the Parker House for the great location, comfortable rooms, incredibly nice staff and, frequently, very reasonable rates, especially for Boston. The hotel is an old favorite, hence some rooms are small, but all have comfortable beds and nice linens. Staff is clearly well trained and everyone is friendly and helpful. Bellmen can be a little pushy,...

Perfect location in the freedom trail. But too small romos, and so many staff doing nothing at the Lobby!! Not even go and close a meeting room we hired!. The room, apart of that, is too small. You have no place to sit in the chair.

Very old and famous hotel in Boston. Ideal location and once a great lobby. There is even a story that some rooms are still haunted. What too expect when you go up? Obviously somebody simply forgot that it did not necessarily have to date from the previous century. You can recreate the atmosphere and make it looking as old as needed. The...

I had a wonderful overnight in Boston due to a meeting. My room was beautifully decorated and clean as a whistle. I had some soup delivered and Johnny was prompt and pleasant and a treat to chat with. Everyone I encountered during my brief stay was caring and polite which made me feel so welcome. The rate was quite reasonable...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
