So cool to be in such a historic building. It is truly opulent and very much reminds you of how the older generations dressed up for dinner. Lobby is beautiful. The location is amazing. You can walk to anywhere from here and yet when you are in the rooms you don't hear the city noise as much as you would...

This is a lovely hotel which is pretty central. It is deceivingly big and hosts lots of weddings etc. We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We did not eat here as there was plenty of choice not too far away. Evening meals were mostly at Millers pub next door. We enjoyed a trip on...

We booked the Children's Museum package for a weekend trip to Boston. This included breakfast for 2 adults & 2 children, 4 tickets to the Children's Museum, and welcome gifts for the kids (activity backpacks and cookies and milk in the room). Hotel is very easy to find and in a great location. Walking distance to so much and right...

This hotel could definitely use an update. It's a very traditional-looking hotel, and has not been modernized for the 21st century. I suppose some appreciate that look, especially in Boston. But the staff was friendly, and the hotel is very comfortable and clean. It's centrally located near the State Street station and near Boston Common. Fantastic location.

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of a Trafalgar Tour through the US and Canada. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its midtown location and the fact that the late President Kennedy proposed to his wife here. The rooms are tiny with barely enough room to open your luggage and you cannot swing a...

Hotel was comfortable but not great. Lobby area carpet and carpeting in halls was really dirty. Bathroom is outdated but that's part of the charm of this hotel. The shower had absolutely no pressure at all, hard to rinse soap off. Was not super clean either, but I scrub grout lines with my toothbrush so I am kind of a...

Excellent hotel especially if you love history. The Omni Parker has history of it's own (creator of Parker House Rolls and Boston Cream Pie) plus many well known guests have stayed there. If you are visiting the Freedom Trail just leave your rental car at the airport and you can walk the entire Freedom Trail (hotel location is on the...

Location is ideal for what we need to do in Boston. So convenient to leave the car. The staff is great and helpful. The hotel has great old charm. Wi Fi worked very well and the meals are great in both Parkers and Parkers bar.

This hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was extremely small. The shower was also extremely slippery when showering. Perhaps the size of the bathrooms is due to the historic nature of the hotel but either way, it left quite a bit to be desired. The location however was amazing, very central to everything. If you're...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
