Stayed for two nights with 3 friends, in two rooms. Hotel was located close to many of the things we wanted to do and see. Hotel Lobby was impressive. Rooms nice and clean. Bathrooms a bit small. Wi-fi not free and parking $40 per day. Staff extremely friendly and competent. All in all, had a great stay.

Stayed here during a girls weekend in Boston. Friendly staff and a clean hotel. It is quite old, celebrating its 160th year this year. The lobby is covered in wood and kind of dark, but very beautiful. The room has been updated, included a mini bar, and extremely comfortable beds. A smaller bathroom than newer hotels but was fine with...

The Omni Parker House is obviously a well known institution in Boston. Upon entering the hotel lobby it is clear that this place has a storied history and at one point was an elegant property. This property is in serious need of a good cleaning and face lift. The deferred maintenance was obvious every where; the wood paneling, the elevators,...

Even though the hotel is in a great location, and staff friendly and professional, I won't be back because the place is too dated. My room was too small for two people, way too dark, and in desperate need of a make over. Most of all the old smell mixed with the air fresheners really got to me. I had...

This hotel is located in downtown Boston in the financial district. They offered great service and assistance whenever I needed anything. They offered a great wealth of knowledge when it came to exploring the area. This hotel is right on the Freedom trail and offers a very unique perspective having been the oldest hotel in the US.

The Hotel is amazing and the location awesome. Just a few steps away are the main train stations which bring you to fast almost everywhere in Boston. Right around the corner is a 24/7 Walgreens. All kind of shops are close by. The Hotel is a good starting point for everywhere in the city. Everything seems to be in a...

I was on a business trip and the location was great. Staff very friendly and very good price / service. Walking distance from many attractions. Two blocks away from the Boston Common and restaurants and bars. Recommended.

We chose to stay at Omni Parker House for our short Boston vacation mostly due to its convenient location and slightly lower price than surrounding hotels. Although the hotel looks and feels very old (carpet, hallway setup, colors, etc) it was clean, we had no problems with bed bugs, and the staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful. The location...

This is a beautiful hotel. The bell staff greeted us at the street and immediately helped us get our bags to the front desk. Room was large and very nicely appointed. The location was perfect for our two-day stay in Boston.

I stayed here due to a convention in town and I received a good rate due to convention pricing. The rooms are old and small, but this wasn't a surprise based on what I had read about the hotel. All of the employees I spoke with were very helpful from the front desk to room service to those working in...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
