I went away with my children for a few days to Boston - I was looking for a safe place to be knowing that we would be walking around instead of driving and searching for parking. So to my surprise the hotel is kept clean but the rooms are very small - and there is no view. The bedding was...

Location, service and cleanliness are great. Bathrooms have poor lighting, no counter space and the shower is a puzzle to use. Between 2-5 AM it was very noisy with garbage trucks and other workers in the alley beneath the room window. We had a room that faced a brick wall so it was just an average value.

The omni parker house is a nice historic hotel in Boston, within 15 minutes walk of the theater district. It's also home of the boston creme pie which, seriously, you must eat. It's also located on the route of the freedom trail (a walking tour of historic sites downtown Boston). The rooms are large and clean, albeit a little outdated...

The visit wasn't special - especially for the price. We looked at a wall in the back; the room was dark and crampt. The service wasn't really available - the desk agent simply processed us with nothing special, and we didn't see any other service than the bellman, who wasn't exactly welcoming.

You did not have a typical Parker House experience! (see other reviews) We certainly apologize and hope that you'll be willing to give us another try on a future visit. Thank you for the feedback.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazingly friendly. Although after being there one night we returned to our room to have it smelling like Marijuana. Called the front desk who said they would have someone right up and that person never showed. Also, being an older hotel the rooms are really small. We had a double bed room...

Usually I love hotels with character and old world charm. Sadly, I ended up staying in a cave and was charged $10 for a simple bottle of water. The room was showing it's age and my room had no natural light. I won't be returning.

We opted for this hotel because it had a family package for the New England Aquarium. Was the best deal going! Much nicer to stay in the heart of Boston and be able to walk around and come back to the hotel. Considered staying outside the city-so glad we stayed at the Omni!

I love historical hotels! I have wanted to stay here for years and finally bit the bullet. After reading all the reviews, I booked one night. It was not what I expected. The room was very small with absolutely NO view. I have never been to a hotel that, when I look out a window I see a brick wall....

Recently in Boston for work, I had the pleasure of staying at this classic hotel. Despite the non-leisure reason for the visit, I was able to explore some wonderful and historic aspects of this city. The hotel itself has a real character and the valet parking is helpful since no parking lot exists for the hotel (as far as I...

I have written five other reviews of this hotel. It's a great place to stay in a great location. We always get the best service and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. It is an old historic hotel and the only place I spend $27 on a Turkey Club!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
