The oldest continuously run hotel in the country, Omni Parker House is a wonderful hotel filled with rich history and located within walking distance of many sites including Fanueil Hall, Orpheum Theater, and Boston Common. The staff is very friendly. 2 people really stood out for me. Seamus Murphy and Eddie. They treated me and my friends like family!! Rooms...

My wife and I stayed the Omni Parker House last week and had an excellent time. The staff were all gracious and not in a fawning way. We used the online check in and when we arrived our room wasn't ready which wasn't inconvenient in that we had a loose schedule. We were given vouchers for breakfast as well as...

This was our first time in the area and at the Omni Parker House. We were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had ample room for the 6 of us and a crib in the two rooms. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, pharmacy, stores and to many historical sites. We...

We wanted to stay here to show our 6 year old daughter what it was like to stay in BOSTON! We loved the location, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Aquarium package was a great deal, too. We really loved the breakfast that was included at Parker's in the morning. My only complaint is that the room...

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights over the new year holidays.. The hotel was in a fantastic location central to Boston Common. So much history in the building. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.. If you join the loyalty program before you arrive you will receive free wifi. All the staff were very polite.. Would visit again.

we loved our stay at this grand old hotel located in the easiest part of Boston to navigate. The bathroom was too small and the shower was poor but other than that we loved our stay and the staff was amazing!

My family stayed here in three separate rooms between all of us. The staff was super-nice, the beds were very comfortable. We were upgraded (not sure why - it was just offered) and so the rooms were a good size. We did not have any street noise at all as our rooms faced another building - but that suited us...

The hotel is apparently the oldest one in Boston, has great service and wonderful ambiance. The one drawback is the size of the room - wow is it small. Certainly this is a reflection of the age of the property, so don't think that you could easily do evening work in your room - there isn't enough room. Still, the...

Actually, we are the longest continuously operating hotel in America, not just Boston! Many thanks for your comments and for pointing out our great location, so central to the city's historic sites.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
