Very nice historic hotel, nice lobby and lounges, but bathroom space was very small, no counter space. Great location walking distance to multiple outdoor/indoor attractions, boutiques, and trolley routes.

This is an lovely historical hotel. Lobby is lovely. Prices are high, but so is everything in the area. Food in bar mediocre, and beds soft wobbly, but clean with good water pressure. Good beer and wine and whiskey in bar, but the food is average. Fine hotel, but not really worth the fuss. Go for the historical feel, and...

I was staying only for one night before moving somewhere else. Too outdated, not renovated for decades. Location not as great as a much of reviewer said. Much better hotels for less money. Also the bar, and all the other stuff. I understand historical context but here it looks just to milk it to dead.

We realize that our historical nature isn't for everyone and regret that we did not match well with your expectations.

It was the smallest room I've ever seen at a hotel. The business center was dismal, and parking horrendous! There was nothing special about this hotel, but it is conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Overall the staff was good with the exception of the parking attendants at arrival. I can only assume that I was ignored for so...

Clearly, your arrival experienced clouded the rest of your stay with us, for which we apologize and will certainly follow up with the valet parking manager regarding your comments. Thanks for the feedback.

We were traveling with family and the Parker House was our base of operations for two days. The service was OUTSTANDING and we have no complaints on that front. When we checked in our children were provided with backpacks that contained some activities and there were milk and cookies waiting for them in our room. Prior to check in I...

Enjoyed my stay at this Boston historic hotel. I loved the charm of the lobby. My room was very nice. I didn't mind the lack of view. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was updated and very clean. It is close to everything and worth going to dinner there. You will see the very table where JFK proposed to...

I stayed at the Omni Parker House Hotel in May. There are tales that the hotel is haunted, especially the third floor. If you ask at the front desk, they will give you a lift of some of the ghost stories related to the hotel. It was a neat place and the service was great! We stayed on the third...

We reserved a Deluxe room (215 sq ft) with a Queen size bed. This was confirmed at check in but were given a standard double room (115 sq ft) with a standard size bed. When we complained, the staff (inc the manager) were adamant we had been given the correct room. Only when we said we would look for an...

Stayed here for six nights while attending a conference. The service provided by the front desk staff and the bell/door crew was excellent. The room I stayed in was not that big, but it was elegant in a simple way. The amenities in the room and the cleanliness of the bed and bathroom were very good. There was a security...

The hotel has a lovely wood accented lobby but that translates into a very dark ambiance. The dark wood is lovely but.....dark. Unfortunately the hallways are dark. I was there for a conference so I didn't spend much time in my room. Thank God. The room was tiny and dark. The lone window facing the interior had to have the...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
