Very nice accommodation. Excellent location in central Boston. Well within walking distance of attractions including off site dinning. Bathroom small, walk in closet extra large. Room was clean, quiet and adequate size. No outlet at room desk for charger. some rooms have no clock if that matters to you.

Without a doubt the friendliest Hotel we've ever visited .The staff were super and couldn't do enough for us . The standard room was just big enough and the bed was more than comfortable . Wait Staff in the Dining Room were more like family . Doormen , Bell staff , porters all were helpful and courteous . Will stay...

We attended the hotel for a wedding. We had a wonderful experience. We leave with many memories of great food and service and lots of historical reference points. Chamois Murphy was attentive, insightful and went out of his way to make us feel like family. Well done for all of you.

Absolutely amazing hotel, such history and beautiful woodwork all throughout. Exceptional service in every department. We were there 4 nights and slept so good, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Room was a little small but we didn't spend a lot of time in our room. Quiet for being in the heart of the city, and great walking distance...

We initially booked in here for 5 nights after getting a great deal and an ideal location. We arrived early and we're able to check in, the reception staff were pleasant. We got to the room and although small, it looked ok. Until you see the bed. We had paid for a double room but the bed was slightly bigger...

Traditional category rooms such as the one you booked feature one full-size (also called a double) bed and unfortunately we were unable to move you into a deluxe category room as we were sold out this past weekend. Next time, may we suggest you reserve a deluxe room? They all feature kings, queens or two double beds. Many thanks for...

The room was terrible, should have been a closet, probably was at one time, food on the in-room service was gross at astronomical prices, you can get a nice steak filet in Boston for what they charge for a cheeseburger that's worse than Mc donalds

I couldn't have asked for anything better on my first night here! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. However, whenever I wanted to extend my stay one additional night that's when the attitudes came and the conflicting hotel rate for the additional night. I got one rate and then another rate when the reservation representative kept switching me back and...

We apologize for the confusion you experienced when trying to extend your stay. As you know, rates can change frequently based on demand (even on the same day) and much would depend upon the rate you had originally. We'll do our best to smooth this out for the future...thanks for the feedback.

Charming hotel with a perfect location for sight seeing. Ten minute walk to Faneuil hall and five minutes to the Common. Great restaurant and bar on site. Parker house rolls originated at the restaurant as did Boston cream pie. Absolutely fabulous. The staff was uniformly friendly. We had the misfortune of getting a low floor room with a crane and...

I enjoyed my brief stay here mainly because of the room rate (affordable), quality of the accommodation, and the location near Boston Common and the T. Spent time touring museums and took in a concert. Front desk helpful in providing navigation to newcomers.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
