We frequent this beautifully appointed bed and breakfast since the owner, Teresa, is generous in every way, reflected in the large, warm, lovely rooms with free Wi-Fi, large screen tvs and a lending library of cds and DVDs. Breakfast is delicious with cinnamon toast, cakes, granola, oatmeal, orange juice and boiled eggs. Some of it's clean, well-lighted rooms have fireplaces...

You’ll be away from the downtown body crunch, and certainly save on parking (which is at least $50/night downtown), as they comp. you a spot if you’re produce a Sox ticket. Fenway and the Art Museum are all walkable from here, and the train line is a block away. The rooms are more like long apartments, so you can stretch...

Thanks so much for coming back to give us such a nice review! The recent warm weather is making us all think of Spring and the return of the Sox, so it feels timely, even in February--it won't be long now! Hope to see you here and at Fenway Park very soon! Thanks again!

Decorated so beautifully yet you can't help but feel comfortable and welcome. Staff very personable and attentive. We were originally concerned about location, but were able to walk to just about anywhere you could possibly want to explore in Boston or take advantage of numerous shops and restaurants in immediate area.

Good reviews on TripAdvisor led me to give this gem of a bed and breakfast a try. Every January my husband & I take a trip to Boston from our home in New Hampshire for a couple nights to beat the winter blues. Tired of the hotel experience, I wanted something different, something more warm and inviting. We hit the...

We stay at the Gryphon House at least once or twice per year -- both for business and pleasure. The atmosphere is very relaxing with a fireplace in each room. Sometimes we sit in the living room/parlor on the main floor and read and have coffee. Staff is fabulous and Tara (been with them many years) is very accommodating.

I stayed here on business and was really impressed with this place. My room was huge and really nice. It's in a great location. The staff are very friendly. And when I realized I'd left something behind, they immediately mailed it back to me. I would definitely recommend this place.

This was our third stay at the Gryphon House, our favorite spot in Boston. The guests have a choice of eight unique rooms, each very well described on the website. They are huge. Our rooms this time were on the lower level, but they were very quiet and really uniquely decorated and comfortable.Theresa, the innkeeper, has done a fantastic job of...

I was in Boston for a conference and after reviewing the typical choices for lodging, decided to stay at the Gryphon House. It is one of the best B&Bs (and any lodging) I have tried. I was on the fourth floor, facing the river. Quiet (!!), beautiful rooms, nice breakfast that can be brought up to the room the night...

Nice big rooms/bathrooms and proximity to Fenway, Boston Univ. and the T makes this place a nice little getaway. Breakfast and the all day snacks and tea are a nice touch. It's very understandable travelers return here as it has a very homey feel.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
