My Fiance and I stayed at the Intercontinental Boston last weekend when we were in the city for Frozen Fenway. From check in to check out, we couldn't have asked for a better stay! We cannot thank Arlette enough for setting up such a wonderful weekend. Initially, we were scheduled to go to the Hockey East Tournament held outside at...

I stay frequently. The hotel is always impeccable. The staff is courteous, attentive, and adamant about making guests feel welcomed and important. I stay, frequently, for business, and have never had a bad stay. I am currently planning a weekend getaway, to relax, with my wife. Our travel destination was contingent on being able to stay at an Intercontinental property....

I have lived in Mass all my life. I am only 30mn north of the city, But this is our favorite city hotel. We stayed one night for my husbands birthday. They upgraded us to a suite over looking the water which was gorgeous. The view was amazing. We did however, have an issue with our toilet over flowing this...

4 night stay at the hotel. Excellent customer service from the moment of check in (thanks Darnell for the information and suggestions). A big shout out to our housekeeper that noticed it was my husband's 60th birthday and sent up a bottle of wine and cake. It made the day very special. On our last night we had room service...

The staff were skilled and the room was excellent. We were delayed at Logan due to problems with baggage handling and arrived late at the hotel. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant downstairs. The room was set up so I could do e-mails without any problem and then take a relaxing bath. This is one of my favorite...

Just a one night getaway. Next time will be more. We were upgraded to a corner room. Not big enough for two chairs, and small table which would have been nice. The location was great. We used the spa there which was amazing. Had breakfast too, which was delicious. Staff was fabulous!

The InterContinental Boston was top of the line and a pleasure to stay at. From the service to the cleanliness of the room/gym/on site restaurant, the hotel exceeded my expectations. I would live here if I could.

We drove in from the suburbs for a late night event and stayed overnight at the InterContinental. Staff was very friendly through the check-in/check-out process. We had a corner unit city view with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Overall this was a good value for the location. The only negative was being woken up by the Boston fire station...

We tend to stay at Intercontinental's as my husband is an Ambassador Club member, when we went to Boston for the first time it was no different. On arriving we were given the standard you will be upgraded to a larger room spiel. Our room was huge - lovely bathroom, comfortable bed even a small living area - then we...

The Intercontinental Boston is the definition of fine hospitality, my family and friends received a warm welcome for our stay over the New Year’s Holiday. Our suite was clean and comfortable, and arranging the adjoining room worked out perfect too. The rainfall shower is a favorite, the separate soaking tube is a nice feature. Robes, nightly turn-down service and chocolates are...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
