Welcome to Hotel 140. As a charming and intimate boutique residence, we offer a surprisingly affordable pied-a-terre in a neighborhood known for its pricey hotels. Located in Boston’s historic Back Bay, we’re a stylish newcomer in the heart of one of the country’s oldest and most captivating cities. Housed within a historic landmark building on Clarendon Street, our beautiful boutique hotel delights arriving guests with its graceful neoclassical architecture, contemporary services and amenities, and easy access to Back Bay Station. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our exquisite building was constructed in 1929 as the home for the oldest YWCA in the country. We continue to enchant with distinguishing design touches like our bright, bustling two-story lobby, terrazzo floors, arched windows and tufted sofas and wingback chairs. And with immediate neighbors the Lyric Stage Theater Company and Viga Eatery, we ensure that you will always be entertained and well fed.

Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Rooms are small but efficient even with a fridge. Beautiful common areas and reasonable prices. Breakfast is decent and everything is very clean. Location is great. We will be back for sure if we are coming to this area in Boston again.

Location is fine, in a soulless office building district that’s close to the financial district and Back Bay, but not so close to longwood hospitals or the universities. The facilities are basic but clean and effective. The only thing my room lacked was a desk, there really

It was an excellent location, a good value for the money spent. The waitstaff was nice. There was a garage available and it was handy to use. the hotel is not far from the airport and it's easy to take a shuttle bus to the airport.

Stayed here over New Years. The main appeal of this hotel is its location. Within a 3 minute walk of Copley Square which was perfect for us. The bed was large and comfortable, however the rooms were very noisy. We could hear people in both the rooms next door to us, as well as

Great hotel. Amazing location and was such good value for money. Staff, room and all other facilities far exceeded our expectations. We have stayed in two other hotels on previous visits to Boston and they were far more expensive, worse locations and far inferior hotels in every

This room also had a twin size bed - you can see it in the left corner.
Hi, we stayed in the Kennedy suite (1 king sized room in one room, and 3 beds in adjoining room) so fitted and it worked out at $404 a night for the suite split between 5 friends. We stayed 3 nights but dont recall any minimum stay policy. Hope this helps.
