My husband and I stayed at the Bricco Suites two weeks ago while in Boston for our daughter's graduation. We loved our stay! This feels much more like an apartment building than a hotel. We enjoyed it because we felt like we actually lived there! We could walk out of the door and be in the heart of the North...

Frank DePasquale is quite the entrepreneurial businessman and does things right. He owns several 5star restaurants, trattoria and these renovated suites. Large LR and kitchen combined with gas fireplace ambiance. I particularly liked the separate room as I am up earlier than husband. Our bed was queen sized, comfortable with nice linens, Plush robes, towels and soft pillows. Bathroom has...

The suite looks nice and well furnished but our room had 4 wall sockets that were not functioning. The beds were nice but they're too tall. I DO NOT LIKE SLEEPING ON 4-FOOT HIGH BEDS from the floor. The light fixtures are nice but some are too bright even in the morning. What I love is the fireplace below the...

To market and price these as suites is outrageous. These are loft rooms built as an addition over a busy restaraunt. We had to enter and leave our room via a staircase in the middle of a functioning restaurant. The kitchen has no microwave or oven so it is impossible to prepare a meal. And the noise from the restaurant...

Spent 8 nights in a second-floor one-bedroom suite during a conference. The location is excellent, in the heart of the Italian downtown, surrounded by restaurants; living upstairs above great restaurants is somewhat special. We liked the small-scale and elegant interior design with a neat parquet floor. The bed was exquisitely good and so was the night's sleep, mostly, and the...

...if you end up on a high floor be prepared to climb a LOT of stairs. Other than that, this is a great place to stay. We had a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and bath. There was even a gas fireplace in the LR! No microwave, oddly enough. Everything clean and tidy. Reasonable rates for what you get.

We were welcomed by Sonny who works at the restaurant (I cannot say enough good things about the food, but that's another review). He took our suitcase to our suite which was located on the 1st floor. We thought this was great at first, but then we heard high heels going upstairs late at night, loud voices (the wall insulation...

Perfect location in downtown Boston. Allowed us to view all of the most popular sites without use of a rental car. The room was clean and well furnished but did not have reliable hot water! Once mid-day on our second day stay it was barely warm enough to shower. Otherwise the water was somewhere between cold and ice cold. We...

The suites are in the perfect location in the north end district. Rooms are very spacious. Hardwood floors large kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom and a modern shower. The only downside of this hotel is the stairs leading to your rooms. We stayed at the very top and it is a steep climb besides that if you want a suite...

Located behind the Bricco Restaurant, in fact you go into the restaurant to check in. There are no elevators so I asked if we could stay on the ground floor. We had a nice size room. It had a gas fireplace on the wall at the end of the bed. The bakery is below the hotel and the smell is...

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
