Great location. Amazing service. Super-clean rooms. Quiet, comfortable. Loved our stay. We were in town for two nights and couldn't beat the location. Short walk to the theater, Common, great dining. My first time at a Lowes and I'll look for them again.

We are a family of four and were due to stay here for two nights. Unfortunately we were 'walked' from the hotel upon arrival due to over-occupancy. To be fair we were apologised to, put in a cab with cash from the hotel and sent to an amazing alternative, paid for by Loews. Despite the inconvenience, on our return the...

This hotel was perfect for a weekend trip for 2. The location is ideal (right off of Newbury street and the Boston Commons) and within walking distance or a quick drive to all that Boston has to offer. The rooms are great: comfy beds, coffee makers in each room, good size rooms, big bathrooms modern and the staff is lovely....

Hello Chad H and, once again, please accept my sincere apologies for a terrible stay you had with us last weekend. I received your Guest Satisfaction survey two days ago and responded immediately that day, which I hope you received, with an offer to make amends but have not received a response. I am terribly sorry for the multitude of...

Good location, comfy beds, nicely appointed, and an overall good value. However, the hotel is aging a bit and not the typical Loews Experience. Where this property shines is in its truly world class customer service, well not really. On checkout I received a note that I had been billed $5 for a minibar charge I certainly and no one...

The hotel is right in the middle of the action if you are looking for great Boston location. There is a super fun bar in the bottom, with delicious food and drinks, and it opens up to the outside in the summer. The rooms are spacious, with hip modern decorating style. Very large bathrooms with separate tub and shower areas....

Our 1st stay in Boston as part of out tour across the USA. This Loews Hotel was originally an old Police station. The room was very nice, clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included for us and was a perfect. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay to explore Boston. Very good value too.

Hotel, is excellent. Good location. View was average but the real star is a very social hotel bar that is a great spot to stay warm in the winter. Would definitely recommend to those looking to stay in the Back Bay area. Also, book trough hotel website for a deal on parking.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
