great experience when I was in Boston, the best place with pretty much everything is walking distance and to South Station too! The staffs are friendly and they have daily events and activities that everyone can participate in! the beds are clean and comfy too! the only downside was the noise from the street, but if you're a dead sleeper...

Where the hostel is situated in the city is excellent but because it is in the city you get a ridiculous amount of traffic passing and even on the 4th floor it was noisy. There are free ear plugs at reception but some of us can't wear them but it was not the indoor noise that was the problem. The...

Stayed here with a business colleague for a two-night nonprofit meeting at The Nonprofit Center on South Street. HI was conveniently located to our meeting and South Station for easy access to/from Logan Airport, the Silver line and dinner meetings. The private room (with bathroom) exceeded my expectations. Clean, well-lit rooms and common space. Free breakfast fixings on 2nd floor;...

It's misleading to have it rated up with all of the best hotels in the city. If you are looking for a clean room at the cheapest price in town this is a great place but it shouldn't be confused with a real hotel never mind a luxury property (which a 4.5 rating would lead one to believe) They do...

Had a really nice stay in a privat room for 3 people. The room was clean and we had a lot of space. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. Central location in walking distance to most of the city highlights.

This hotel, being a hostel, means you have to sleep in a bunk bed and share a room with a few others. That said, you will meet folks from all over the world. Kitchen use, Free breakfast, and common areas included in pricing.

I stayed two nights in a 4-bed all female suite which was kept clean and included large lockers. I met some lovely ladies that I plan on keeping in touch with from Korea, China, and Argentina. The price is due to the ideal location, and they also include breakfast, prepared beds, unlimited towels, and numerous bathrooms so there is no...

Even though a little expensive, the hostel is clean, the environment is young and modern, and the staff is friendly and ready to help - I went with two other friends and they found a way of us staying in the same room even though our reservations were made separately. Plus the breakfast has a lot of variety for a...

The place is impeccable from reception, through cleaners, to breakfast! Although share washrooms, there are plenty and very clean. I recommend the 4 people bedrooms. And do not forget to bring your lock for the locker. But if you do, they sell everything at reception.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Rooms are great, plenty of locker space, space by your bed and hooks for hanging towels etc. Bathrooms are delightful! Spacious, clean and one cubicle per room (i.e. not one big bathroom per floor) and towels are not extra (no need to byo!). Huge kitchen, a few different hang-out...

Thanks for your kind words, Jess! We love those little cubbies attached to the beds. Thanks for mentioning our bathroom cleanliness- our housekeeping staff works incredibly hard to keep those spaces tidy, and they'll be glad to hear that our guests are taking notice! Come back and see us soon :)

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
