First experience of a hostel and would happily use one again based on this experience. We were in a private room that had all the amenities we've had in hotels such as hairdryer, iron, coffee maker TV plus access to a full kitchen should we wanted to have used the facilities there (we didn't). Breakfast was included and had toast,...

Stayed here for 4 nights while in town for work/fun. I was in a 6-bed female standard room, which means you have a shared bathroom. Hostel was able to accommodate my request for a lower bunk and the beds were comfortable, had a reading light and a full size locker to easily store my stuff. The rooms look modern and...

For the money, HI is a very good value place to stay in Boston. It's clean, the beds are comfy and it felt very secure. Most of the staff are very friendly and the breakfast was ok. It's in a slightly odd part of town but pretty convenient walking distance from most sights.

It has been a while since I last stayed at a hostel and I am generally used to more comfort and privacy, but for a hostel this place is great. Friendly staff, modern and clean facilities and even a decent breakfast that is included in the price of your stay. The only thing that was really annoying is that it...

Location score couldn't be better. The place is literally deadslam in the centre of everything in the city. Close to transportation. Close to historic sights. Close to shopping and entertainment. The price is the best in the city, you won't find cheaper. The Hostel is well kept and comfortable. Beds are good. Bathrooms are clean. Showers are hot and relaxing....

We arrived late in the evening and everybody was very accommodating. The beds are pretty comfortable for hostel bunks. The bathrooms are for one person at a time, nice for some privacy while taking a shower or using the restroom. We were looking for things to do in the city in a short time and Aaron approached us and made...

Maybe you're like me, and you remember your youthful hostel stays with a sense of "thank goodness I can afford something a bit better now". Well, this hostel has made me super excited to stay in hostels even though I can afford a hotel room. First, it's a great location, with plenty of restaurant choices nearby. Second, the staff are...

When booking our east coast road trip we were struggling to find a decent priced hotel in Boston, found HI hostel and managed to book a private room with on suite bathroom for a very reasonable price, checking in was easy and fast and the room was great, very large and clean. Free breakfast is basic and communal event but...

Glad you liked your stay and enjoyed the hostel. We try to offer the best value by having free activities, tours and events during your stay. Our central location also saves you a few bucks and time on traveling around the city because you can walk to everything from our hostel. Obviously we have to pay for such a location,...

I was rooming with 5 other females. Most were younger like me, such as college age. I met many wonderful people and still keep in touch with a few. People are friendly and relaxed here, and staff is reliable. Environmentally friendly building with composting and recycling. Pros: multiple private bathrooms on each floor, free breakfast, friendly people, chill and homey...

This place has an amazing location for the price. Nearly everything is walkable. The hostel is very clean and has grand common areas. The rooms are very clean feature great views and bathrooms are plentiful. There are individual shower rooms with toilets which maintain privacy despite the hostel.everything in bathrooms is clean. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
