Different from the more glitzy hotels downtown Boston, this hotel offers small suites with understated interiors. Although they don't look very trendy, the rooms offer everything 'unhip' people like us need. The rooms have a small kitchen with a cooker, dishwasher and a fridge with room for a small pony. The TV is quite big and had a good number...

Stayed here awhile back to drop in on a Bruins game while on business. What a great location with very comfortable accommodations. Beautiful views, clean rooms, great beds and grocery delivery with a full kitchen in the suites.

I debated seriously about giving this a 5. The hotel is very much a normal Residence Inn quality wise, so you know what to expect. It was great to have the bedroom and living room kitchen especially in the Northeast where rooms tend to be small. The location and views and pleasant staff made it fantastic and why I wanted...

We found this hotel available for our work trip and selected it as it was so close to the CONSTITUTION. We had never stayed at this hotel before as it sells out frequently, but found the hotel was immaculate and the staff was very helpful. The dining area was always clean and the free breakfast was consistently served early. Everyone...

Everything was excellent but can't beat the location near Constitution, freedom trail, walking biking trails. Near north end, TD Garden, Bunker Hill. Hotel staff very helpful with finding varied parking options which is very expensive in this area. Hotel is very clean and suites with nice amenities.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It seems like it's 1/2 mile from anywhere. We had a room facing the harbor and had a beautiful sunrise view of the city every morning. Anywhere we needed to go, we took Uber. This turned out to be much cheaper than renting a car for several reasons. One, the hotel (as mentioned)...

The hotel is very nice. We enjoyed being on the harbor! The staff was friendly & very helpful. The breakfast & evening meals were GREAT!! There were many attractions/dining opportunities within walking distance. The closest subway stop was a bit of a walk, but it wasn't a problem except to/from the airport (we took a taxi instead).

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
