This is a mediocre hotel experience. No luggage rack, tiny cheesy bath products, terrible dresser storage, strong floral cleaning smell, no safe in the room, and the room was still not made up 10 hours after we left for the day. Only reason I rated it average is breakfast is fine and the location near the North Station and Freedom...

To hear how disappointed you were with your experience is very disheartening to us. We are glad to hear that our convenient location and breakfast you were happy with, but regret not everything was to your liking. Your comments are appreciated and we thank you for your review.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. Check in was easy. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was very roomy and comfortable. The beds were great and breakfast was tasty.

Came to Boston to visit the Freedom Trail. This Marriott Property is located steps off the trail and directly on the Charles River. The location was wonderful, we got up in the morning and had a wonderful buffet breakfast at the hotel and jumped right into a cab that was waiting at the front door of the hotel. We had...

Spent a little more than we'd normally spend on a hotel, but it was worth the splurge. This hotel is in a prime location on the Charlestown waterfront. We were able to walk easily to the naval yards and Bunker hill monument and also into Boston (about 25 minutes walk to Quincy market and the aquarium.) We saw a concert...

I have been traveling consistently to this hotel for the last 3 years. There isn't a bad thing I can say about this Marriott. The hotel itself is not what stands out but it's employees. The people that work at this hotel have consistently gone above and beyond on many occassions for myself as well as my co-workers who also...

We booked a one bedroom suite at this pet friendly hotel to accommodate our family of four plus our dog, Bailey. The location is excellent! The room size was a bit small, but acceptable. We were surprised by the small size of the indoor pool and fitness center, neither of which could hold more that ten people comfortably. The buffet...

While visiting some friends of mine in Boston, and doing some business there. I found that this hotel provided an interesting and somewhat central location for exploring Boston and its historical sites. We always stay at Marriott whenever possible. When we decided to go to Boston for the 4th of July weekend it was a no-brainer but we wanted a pet friendly hotel so we could bring our Yorkie. I am already a fan of the Marriott brand especially the Residence Inn for its comfort and convenience to families. Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
