Great place. Convenient to most attractions. The staff here was really good with ideas for dining and directions. Accommodations were perfect. We would highly recommend staying at the Fairmont Battery Wharf.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Battery Wharf for a college visit weekend. It was a convenient walk to many Boston attractions and a short cab ride to Boston Commons. The spa is lovely and the service is top notch.

Don't get my title wrong, this hotel is very nice. Boutique feel to it, extremely friendly staff....but not perfect. The food is not to the level I would have expected, the restaurant menu is small and ordinary, probably due to the fact that the hotel's location will not attract massive footfall. The bar is part of this same section, it...

We arrived late at night having just booked a room and were treated like kings. My wife told Rachel at reception that it was my birthday and we were upgraded to Rachel's favourite room. It was a wonderful room with a lovely view over the water, and lots of space in the room. The bed was comfortable, especially after a...

My wife and I married in October 2013; our reception was at the Fairmont. It was outstanding. The hotel invited us to mark the occasion of our first wedding anniversary by staying at the hotel again. We did. We had such a great time, that we'll do it again every year assuming that 1) we're still living in Boston and...

The hotel "Gold" experience was delightful. Surroundings are quiet, well tended and well ordered with pleasant safe strolls along the attractive waterfront. Wonderful quiet room, fastidious cleanliness, everything worked faultlessly, complimentary (i.e. included in rates) food at breakfast and in the early evening buffet was very varied each day and also from day to day; it was all very precisely...

I received a complimentary upgrade to a large waterfront suite, wow. In the future I will definitely splurge. The suite was huge with separate living room/dining room, a master bedroom, and huge bathroom. The view was incredible and made my experience in Boston even better.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a conference in the fall. This is a big hotel in the city with charming and small hotel feel. The location in Boston's North End is fantastic for doing any of Boston's activities while feeling that you are outside the bustle of a big city. The views of the Harbor are wonderful and make...

Hotel is right on the water about 2 blocks from some of the best food in the city- the North End. Easy to get to most major attractions. Very quiet locale and my room came with a view of the harbor. Large room with one of the nicest bathrooms ever- marble clad with a huge open shower. Nice leather recliner...

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
