We stayed at the Clarendon Square Inn mainly because it is close to the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. We there to see the musical Barnum - which was awesome. The inn was just perfect, furnished so nicely and beautiful tasteful decorations throughout. The room and bed were super comfortable. Breakfast was buffet - which is exactly what we prefer....

I had high hopes for Clarendon Square because of all the reviews I've read. It surpassed every expectation. Our room was pristine and the bathroom was so beautiful. The bed was large and comfortable. The rest of the home was absolutely gorgeous and the Christmas decorations just added to it all. It was the perfect place to stay around the holidays....

My wife and I stayed for five nights to run the race and see the city for the first time. We got a great feel for the South End/Back Bay neighborhoods since CSI is nestled almost right between the two. We felt like luxurious brownstone residents during our stay, leaving our clean comfortable room to eat a wonderful breakfast in...

As a solo traveller, this place could not have been more perfect. The size of the property makes it feel very homely and it is beautifully decorated and pristine throughout. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious and I appreciated it not finishing too early! Both mornings I had a great experience at breakfast, sitting chatting with other guests...

We last stayed at the Clarendon Square Inn 10 years ago for my 30th birthday and once we had a chance to visit Boston again, we knew exactly where we were going to stay. The rooms are exquisite, the staff outstanding, the location is perfection, the breakfasts are SO GOOD, and there's a roofdeck with a hot tub and views...

My husband and I enjoyed a nice, quiet getaway in Boston. Our room was clean and comfortable and attractive. The only drawback is that the closest parking garage is a good quarter mile or more away. However, that is also a plus, because the inn is a bit secluded on a quiet street of brownstones, with just a small plaque...

We had the most amazing stay at the Clarendon Square Inn! The staff was MORE than accommodating and suggested great restaurants in the area (as well as lots of additional advice!). The suite was beautiful with great lighting and amazing woodwork. Perfect location for walking to boutique shops, bakeries, and even hitting up the popular tourist attractions. Would LOVE to...

The Clarendon Square Inn was absolutely marvelous. The room (interior queen) was exactly as I read in the description (beautiful and romantic!) and the service was the best I have ever experienced from any hotel I have stayed at before. We spoke with the owner personally over breakfast for about an hour, and he was extremely warm and personable. The...

This review is long overdue, but what an amazing stay we had here! Stephen and Bobby were amazing hosts, and we loved everything about our stay for our 25th anniversary. The view of the city, the service, and the beautiful room made our night so wonderful. We hope to come back again, and still are appreciative of the great experience...

Absolutely one of our favorite places that we have stayed in the past few years. The Clarendon is wonderful. We stayed in the luxury room, where you basically have an entire floor of the hotel to yourself! Its was gorgeous and extremely clean. Our hostess was incredible. Friendly and super helpful. The entire experience was top notch. Did I mention...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
