I am writing this from our guest room on the final evening of our 3 night stay. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel and every staff member we have encountered has been outstanding. We have felt more appreciated and "special" than we have in a long time. Our room is large, beautiful, and well arranged. This is a classic old...

I stayed in a fireplace king on the 7th floor for a two-night weekend stay. Beautifully appointed and spacious. Sadly, I never even used the fireplace. Courteous professional, helpful staff all around. Speedy check-in. Easy access to BSO, shopping, restaurants, bars/clubs and to the T (subway/Copley). Special shout-out to the concierge for impeccable directions to the cinema in Cambridge and...

I recently stayed at the Lenox for 4 nights and 5 days for a work conference and really enjoyed my stay. As a born and bred New Yorker, I have been raised to hate Boston but staying at the Lenox makes me hate it a little bit less. One thing you will notice staying at the Lenox is that there...

Couldn't fault it at all. The Lenox was the perfect choice for our short two night stay. From arrival where check in was so friendly and quick to arrival in our room which was spotless, great size and a lovely welcome gift of wine and chocolates waiting for us. We had a drink in the bar and it was very...

My family from Australia and our relatives from the USA stayed for 3 days in December. The facilities and the location of the hotel was great. The hotel has a lot of character and of a high standard. However ,what made our stay enjoyable and pleasant was the high standard of the staff . They were excellent . Mike at...

Dropped into the bar for drinks and wished we had booked to stay. This is definitely where we shall stay on our next visit, the Lenox is beautiful! The food was lovely and the drinks were great. My husband assures me it was a good pint of Guinness!

I stayed here for several nights mid December to attend a funeral service for a family friend. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area over the past few decades and have to say that this is my new favorite mid range hotel. I loved staying at the Four Seasons but rarely can justify the price premium over...

Loved the location and the staff could not be friendlier! Our room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable! Loved free water and free wifi... so nice to not be charged for everything. The bar is fun too and the Room service breakfast was delicious and very prompt. Will stay here again if given the chance.

Came for a quick visit to shop on Newbury St. The Lenox staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, we appreciated their generous amenities. I plan to return to this hotel anytime I'm in the area.

Wanted some holiday spirit with a short trip to Boston for me and my son and the Lenox delivered. Perfect location to be in the midst of all the Christmas bustle. The lobby and entrance were all holiday'd up and looked great. Service was first class . Room was clean, fresh and had the personality that comes with a nice...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
