Spent an enjoyable two days at this beautiful hotel. The location is ideal for shopping on nearby Newbury Street, the Prudential mall and Copley shops. Amazing restaurants are all a walk away. It is on the pricey side but is worth the extra money for its location and luxury. My only complaint about our stay was the too soft mattress...

Attended a conference in Boston and picked the Mandarin Oriental as it appeared very classy and my wife was coming with me. It did not disappoint. Very generous sized room, great service. Probably because it is expensive, there were no crowds in the lobby, no waits to check in or out, or even to get in the lift. Bathroom was...

Mandarin Oriental in Boston is something everyone should experience. The bath is the best part. It's really a mini-spa and twice the size of any other hotel bathroom I've ever stayed in including the Ritz! The ambiance created by the marble floors, large soaking tub, lighting and even bath salts provided, beckon you to grab a glass of wine and...

The Mandarin never fails to impress. It's impeccable service, luxurious rooms, all the Shanghai Tang toiletries you could ask for and much much more. I forgot my adaptor an they gave me one for free! Also I like the 2 handed giving - still respecting Asian cultures even in Boston. Will return.

Our first stay at a Mandarin Oriental Hotel and it was amazing. The staff and their attention to every detail was excellent. Would definitely recommend...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
