The Boston Marriott Copley Place is commended for its cleanliness, offering guests spotless rooms and efficient housekeeping. Its central location is a hit, providing convenient skywalks to nearby shopping and dining options which guests appreciate. While the rooms are generally spacious and modern, some visitors have experienced noise issues. The amenities are well-regarded; however, the mandatory destination fee has led to some dissatisfaction regarding overall value. Service is notably friendly and helpful, although there have been occasional slow responses. The hotel's atmosphere is contemporary, but the lively lobby can be noisy.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve stayed at this property around 20 times. Each time it’s been faultless and I now stay at this hotel whenever my work takes me to the Boston area.

The hotel is in a great location and it’s very easy to get into downtown or jump onto the T. The hotel also has covered walkways into two different shopping areas, so if the weather is bad, you don’t need to venture out. There’s also a supermarket directly across the road and a Starbucks coffee within the property. It’s just a very conveniently placed hotel.

The rooms and corridors are getting a little dated but they are of a good size and the house keeping colleagues do a great job at keeping them as neat and clean. Within the rooms you also have coffee facilities and Netflix on your tv when you’re feeling lazy.

The staff have always been polite, professional and personable so I personally can’t fault them.

I’m staying here again next week and I’m fully looking forward to it.

The Marriott was located in Back Bay Area of Boston close to Newbury strip of restaurants and shops . Car valet was unavailable due to Covid but self park was available for $42 daily with in and out privileges. The TV remotes was wrapped in plastic and other objected sanitized for the current COVID situation. The air conditioning was not regulated and was able to adjust my own comfort level

If you want a reliable brand named hotel that is right in the heart of Copley Square, then the Boston Marriott Copley Place offers a good value you won't regret. I called to make the reservation directly with the hotel and told them it was my wife's birthday and wanted it to be a special weekend visit. The young lady I spoke with promised me they would take care of us and give us a memorable room. When we got there, we were upgraded to a suite with a gorgeous panoramic view of the Charles River. The hotel itself is in a pretty good strategic location if you like walking. We were able to walk to Boston Common, Fanueil Hall and even made it to Fenway Park (about a 20 minute walk). Granted it was a bit of a hike, but Boston is a good walking town and we were up for it. The lobby is very busy and connects to the Back Bay Mall, which is a beautiful, huge shopping mall you can have direct access to throught the hotel lobby. The lobby is a sight to see, with a line of numerous large screen TV's and a circular bar backlit with red lighting and an extraordinary display of the alcohol choices. The rooms here are comfortable, clean and large, and the proximity to local attractions and sights makes it a clear favorite.

An anticipated good stay for the Inncredible New England section of my Matt Nelson Reviews dot com site ended up exceeding all important expectations. I must add that hotel and corporate management went well above and beyond both before the trip and when things went sideways to circumstances beyond their control.

I was booked in an executive suite for a “Minneapolis-style” vacation President’s Day Weekend, The idea was that the extensive network of skywalks would have allowed for more than ample dining and shopping pleasure if the February Boston weather was not conducive for being outside. The 40- degree days resulted in staying within a few blocks the entire time.

The fact that the (presumably Masshole local) was laying siege to my booked room and had the Do Not Disturb sign out three hours past checkout was concerning mostly because the hotel was fully booked that night, Although staying in a standard room would have been disappointing when a suite was reasonably expected, the larger concern was that honoring the request of the clerk to be patient and have faith would have resulted in the current guest not relinquishing possession that night and my not having any room.

The hotel temporarily placed me in a standard room, which was surprisingly large and had a comfy settee. That shirt sanctuary ended with being upgraded to the spectacular Presidential Suite on the top floor, An article on my site provides the glorious details as to that experience.

Similarly, getting up early the next morning to swim before other guests descended on the pool led to finding that it was closed due to the type of hiccup that can always occur. Once again, the hotel came through.

The takeaway from all this is that running a massive well-designed hotel that offers awesome bargains in a prime location is a challenge. This is not to mention dealing with “elite” guests who DEMAND the royal treatment merely for being corporate friends of Bill.

The takeaway is that Copley Marriott staff does what it can to out the odds forever in your favor and goes even more above and beyond to put right what once went wrong.

We visited Boston for a seeing holiday from the UK. There we’re many hotels on offer at reasonably good prices so we chose the MCP as I am a Titanium Bonvoy member. We we’re well taken care of at this hotel. The room, on the concierge level was clean and roomy, and a very comfortable night sleep! The lounge had a great offering for both breakfast and nibbles at night (both had a handful of hot items e.g. eggs and sausages at brekkie) my only disappointment was that the bar in the lounge was at an additional charge - this is unlike the other lounges at other properties we usually visit. The pool and hot tub were a great addition (despite some children running wild and playing football with no regard to others and throwing ball at us while their parents ignored them from the pool side - bad parenting is obviously not the hotels problem!!) lovely staff throughout the property made for a pleasant week in the city

Checked out yesterday after staying there for a conference. Pretty frustrating and gross experience for a Marriott Gold member.

After the first night I woke up and made the bed. Realized there were stains on the sheets that I had slept on. I took a picture and brought it down to the front desk and received a relatively dismissive “okay, we’ll send someone to change those... anything’s else?”. I’m pretty easy going, and understand mistakes happened and they were pretty busy with 2 conferences there. I thanked him and moved on with life.

When I got back up to my room the woman who cleaned my room had just finished, I briefly explained what happened and she asked me to show her. She had just changed the sheets, I thanked her and her response was “no problem, I think what happened is they may have forgotten to change the sheets, or changed this set (pointing to the second bed) and forgot this one (the bed I slept in).

This is just gross. Why they wouldn’t change both sets when between different guests checking in/out is beyond me. I think it’s officially time to start using my Hilton Gold status through AMEX.

This hotel used to be a classy and vibrant hotel with seemless connection to Copley Place Mall. But we had rather gloomy feel during our stay at this hotel. Covid related restrictions must have been significant contributing factors to this. But the hotel’s ongoing constructions were no less significant contributing factors. When we arrived at the hotel by car, we did not see bell men or valet greeting us. So we just parked our car outside the front door, and went inside for check-in. The lobby was almost deserted, and a substantial part of the lobby was blocked off with dark curtains for constructions. Sofa chairs were placed at the far end of the lobby. Escalators connecting the lobby and Copley Place Mall were blocked off, too. All the hotel staff members wore masks, and we did the same. The reception desk staff was courteous, and efficient. Upon checking in, we self parked our car inside the hotel’s parking place. Unfortunately, the elevators from the parking area to the lobby were shut down, too. So we had to carry our luggage up to the lobby level via a staircase. Our room was clean and spacious with a comfortable king size bed. The room had the usual amenities that are expected of a high class hotel. But there were no complimentary water bottles or slippers. The 2 water bottles placed on top of the desk had $ 4.00 price tag for each. All the hotel restaurants and the bar were closed due to Covid restrictions. Only room service was available for foods, using a simple menu placed on the desk.

I travel a ton and have earned Ambassador status with Marriott. So you could probably say I am a bit picky. Let me be clear, I am blown away by the Boston Marriott Copley hotel and Diana the asst front office mgr is a big reason why.

I had to travel to Boston last minute and my ambassador was out so I contacted the hotel myself. I got on the phone with Diana and she was truly amazing. I asked for my usual pillow requests and room location and she immediately blocked me into a nice concierge room with all my requests. There was also a nice little amenity plate waiting for me with fruit, chocolate(yum) and 5 bottles of water in the fridge. I was so happy and surprised. Diana has been there for me anytime I need something during my 2 night stay. In fact I usually wait until after I check out before reviewing a hotel but figured I wanted to do this while I'm still checked in. She is that awesome!!

As for the hotel itself, it is connected to a nice indoor mall type with lots of shops and restaurants. The concierge lounge is nice as well on the 28th floor.

I will be back in a few weeks and I am already looking forward to it. Thanks to the Marriott Copley for giving me a wonderful stay and thanks to Diana!!

I took my 14 year old daughter to Boston for the night. This was the PERFECT hotel. Not only is the lobby beautiful and so welcoming but the hotel is connected to two malls. There was an ice storm the afternoon we arrived. It truly did not matter. We had a lovely room, we walked the malls, enjoyed eating at Eataly (an Italian market in the mall) and ended the night getting coffee at the hotel’s Starbucks and having some delicious chocolates at Truffles.

We found the elevator quite accommodating. Instead of pressing a button, you instead press your floor number. A keypad shows you which elevator will bring you to your floor. We found this system very fast. It didn’t stop at every floor to pick up or drop off people. It was very fast moving with the size of the hotel.
The following day we walked to all the shops and ate lunch on Newbury Street. This is only two blocks from the hotel.
The only thing I would advise is that it cost $60 for valet parking. You can park your own car and pay $40. But you then can not come and go as you please. However, if you are planning on just parking your car and not using it then don’t use the valet unless you want to pay the extra cash. Cars are all parked in the same area.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again!! Everyone is very polite and helpful. I have stayed at several hotels in Boston. This one is top on my list.

I just moved from another hotel where I had business meetings to Marriott to spent 2 more days with my partner in downtown Boston to visit the city. We booked a room on high level with kingsize bed and when I entered I broke down crying. The room is size of a cage, it’s incredibly small and suffocating. The interior is like from cheap hotel in Vegas, very old worn out and outdated. And forcing people to sign up for membership to use WiFi is in my opinion totally outrageous. We were expecting relaxing 2 days at this place and so we’ve decided to spent bit more money that we’d usually do to treat ourselves but here I am now - crying and not enjoying time at all. Plus we can’t cancel as we can’t afford going to new place with cancellation fees. Highly, highly disappointed :((

In the summer we frequently walked down to the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, then along to Boston Garden and into Boston Common. We did this with 3 children and the mall provided a tree lined pedestrian boulevard to walk along.
