I grew up in Boston and live in Hong Kong, we did a post Christmas family visit week to downtown Boston and had a delightful time. The key is location location location and we found the staff at the Boston Copley Marriott and the location of the hotel. The connectedness to the Prudential Center, and the proximity to Star Market...

Nice welcome. Rooms small but clean. Problem, anyone in the hall talking sounds like you left the door open. I could here goings on 2 rooms away. I'll definitely stay again if there's nothing else. Also wouldn't give me points because my wife booked in her name. My fault

This hotel is very big and therefore has a lot of people around all of the time. In spite of that the check-in staff were very nice and helpful. If only I could say the same for the room service team. On the last night of my stay I decided to order a late night snack. I picked up the...

Very friendly staff, and upon a first glance, this Marriott has certain advantages- mainly its location and its being attached to a mall. Only that the attached mall is only high-end stores like Barneys. Room service is delivered in doggie bags-- while the prices are definitely not for Chinese takeout. Whoever thought this is a good idea? Also you can't...

We arrived late in the very cold evening but the welcome at the desk was warm. Yarov answered our questions about the venue where we would be attending an offsite wedding and provided a map. Unfortunately, the housekeeper who wanted to clean our room at 4:30 (we had been out since 10 am) told us she couldn't come back at...

A standard Marriott in the heart of Boston. Great location in Copley Square area, but that's what you're paying for. Rooms have nice views on any side, but the windows are often dirty (city grime?) and the views are marred. Forget dining here: the restaurant is a sports bar with expensive boring food. And don't bother with room service at...

With pleasant 15F outside and metal frame windows (ice cold to the touch), our Air Condition had to work hard to keep the room at even 69F. Overall the rooms seemed a bit aged, including the bath-tub shower, but clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful - unfortunately room service does not offer any espresso based drinks, you'll have to...

Stayed one night for a function in town. The rooms are vey clean and the bed was very comfortable. The service was a bit slow at check-in although it was not very busy. Plenty of places to eat and shop at the Copley Place Mall downstairs. Parking garage attached but independently owned.

Very comfortable room, but the bar/restaurant average. Good bed, great location as it is accessible to shopping without going outside. Friendly staff, and a pleasant experience. Solid, but not outstanding.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
