This place is really what B&B dreams are made of. My mom and I stayed here while we were doing a road trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Unlike all the other (it seems like) hundreds of places I emailed, this place allowed us to...More
Have stayed at many B&Bs throughout the country but Carolina B&B was one of our best experiences. James and Susan were amazing hosts and treated us like old friends. The room was very comfortable with lots of special touches. The property is lovely and well...More
We stayed in the self contained cottage on the property amidst a flowering cottage garden setting.
The cottage has been tastfully renovated with the decor reflecting the history of this period property.
Hosts James and Susan were wonderful. Nothing was any trouble. There is nothing...More
This is truly an exceptional B&B and this was evident from our moment of arrival until we reluctantly had to leave.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Our B&B is about three miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. It is another four miles from the entrance to the house. You can take a taxi there but unfortunately the Biltmore does not have any form of transportation inside the Estate. Asheville itself has limited public transportation. For the most part you will need a car to really benefit from all the city has to offer. And there is a lot! Besides the Biltmore, downtown Asheville (a short walk from the Carolina B&B) is considered to be a architectural jewel in addition to be filled with independent boutiques and restaurants. Three miles from downtown area in the opposite direction is our River Arts District, full of artist's studios and galleries. Then, of course, there is the Blue Ridge Parkway with it's stunning vistas of the Mountains, accessible both by car and for hiking. Outside the city, farms and farmer's markets abound.
I hope this helps!
