Stayed at Bittersweet for a fall getaway. It is near Asheville and we stayed in a cottage suite that overlooked the city. It was a little higher in price than some of the other B^B's, but much more intimate and had a really nice hot tub outdoors on the deck. Before you drive up the mountain, there are stores to...

We couldn't have dreamt up a better place to honeymoon! Bittersweet has to have the best view of the city. Any time of day, you have a romantic, breathtaking view of the moutains and the city. Perfect location, just a few minutes into town but perfectly isolated. The cottage is cozy and comfortable. Such a comfortable bed! We slept great...

This was a perfect place to stay. Close to downtown but on the mountain overlooking the beautiful views and the town. Nothing bad I could say about our stay here. The room was great, views great, The owners were wonderful. Even a breakfast in the fridge when we arrived. Every detail was taken care of. Can't wait to go back!

Our first visit to Asheville NC and we feel very fortunate to have discovered Bittersweet Cottage & Suite. Asheville is a wonderful destination with many activities, good food, and beautiful scenery, but at the end of the day we always looked forward to returning to our Suite. We loved the peaceful, private setting and the cozy, comfortable feel of this...

My husband and I stayed at Bittersweet Cottage for 3 nights in April and it was idyllic! Matthew the owner, has provided everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is about a 15min drive into Asheville itself but it is most definitely worth it for the mountain views and quiet.

The Bittersweet Suite was the love at the first sight: we booked immediately after we found it online. It was the perfect choice for our honeymoon. The views are breathtaking, with stunning, ever-changing colors. The Suite is adorable; small and exceptionally cozy, with absolutely everything one would need for the stay. Everything is very well thought through, down to lighting...

After a few nights staying downtown, we went up the mountain to stay in the Bittersweet Cottage where we were met by the very nice and informative owner. It's just a few minutes easy ride outside of downtown, so very easy to get in and out. The cottage was terrific with a living room with full kitchen, and a separate...

Bittersweet Cottage is an amazing place - a cozy yet luxurious mountain retreat. It is completely private without being isolated. I was able to wander outdoors at dawn (in my pajamas!) to take photos of the sun rising over the Blue Ridge mountains and the city of Asheville below. Matthew and Stephen have seen to every possible detail, from the...

Stayed here for a long weekend get away and loved every moment. The views were amazing as well as the accommodations. The kitchen was stocked nicely, but we we didn't really have a chance to use it due to the awesome food choices in the city. The city takes about 15 minutes to get to from the cottage and offers...

We stayed in the suite for 5 nights in March and it was devine. Small but quaint and a perfect couples retreat. Five min from downtown and great access to shopping and dining. Great little kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, cocktails included. The deck is perfect with a million dollar view and a nice little grill. Matt...
