Staying a couple of nights at the Wattles well tended resort was reminiscent of the magical places my parents took me as a child. A very pleasing representation of an authentic Colorado get away. The cabins are situated so you can wave across the lawns to your neighbor or walk a few steps to the river and say hello to... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! When life gets hectic, it's nice to have a "sweet spot" on the river. I hope you will stay with us again. More

We were here two years ago and liked it so we came back. We had a cabin about 75 feet from the river. It was nice to sit on the porch and hear the river running while we ate. The cabin is well equipped and the staff are really great. Only one problem is you have to go up to... More

We stayed in Cabin 2, which was well equipped, comfortable beds, clean and best of all, the sound of the rushing river just across the lane. Very friendly owners. No TV. For us, no cell service and Internet only when we walked to their office. Isn't that great for a getaway? We hit the resort on a not-so-busy week so... More

This resort is a quaint, family owned resort that was absolutely perfect for our first time visiting the CB area. I did research on the nearby cabins and found that Rockey River was the best place that met our needs. Dog friendly was number one on our list, and they were very accommodating to our pets. They even offered pet... More

All of the running around we all do...gets to slow down at this wonderfully family oriented setting. We had a great time with all of the family (from 70-6). Great cabins. Super clean. No harm when sitting up by the river past dark. We had a wonderful time! You will not be disappointed!

Stayed in studio cabin,1 bedroom, 2 beds. The cabin is extremely clean and the setting is out of this world! It is very "rustic". Needs a firmer mattress on the beds and a little larger shower and they would be perfect. You cannot beat the location for any amount of $$.

We stayed for two nights with a group of 44 (some had to go elsewhere because we filled up the place) and it was ideal for us. It is a real getaway -- i.e., no TV and spotty Internet service -- but the office has WiFi and a computer if you go into technology withdrawal. Owners Rob and Dani Wattles... More

look, I will not use pseudo terms like quaint and rustic. The cabins are older but they are very clean and virtually right on the banks of the Gunnison River.my two step sons and I stayed in cabin number 2 along with our dog for one night the cost was $120 plus tax plus a small fee for the dog.... This place is wonderful. We are so relaxed after visiting here for 2 nights, next time will definitely be longer. We stayed in a studio cabin closest to the river. (#4) It is 30 ft from the river, but honestly, how close do you need to be? You can hear the river from the cabin, and see a bit of... More

We have stayed in dozens of cabins in Colorado over the years and rank this as #1! Rocky River Resort is sparkling clean and the grounds are meticulously maintained. They are located between Gunnison and Crested Butte, which makes day trips to either location ideal. The deck off the Gunnison River is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee... More
