We tent camped here, just outside of the Badlands National Park. They don't allow campfires inside the park. We camped within view of the Badlands, just a mile or so down the road. We were there in early October. it was hot during the day and very chilly by the time we woke up. The staff was very friendly and... More

Great location - clean accommodations - friendly staff. Rustic facility near the entrance to Badlands National Park. Very simply decorated but, given the location, it was more than acceptable. After all, this is Interior, SD! I left a valuable piece of camera equipment behind; they found it and immediately tried to contact me. Graciously shipped the items to me on... More

The place was reasonably clean but the queen bed in our room was horrible. My sister and cousin had a very hard time sleeping. They had to pile a bunch of pillows between them to keep from rolling onto one another. We wanted to open the window since it was cool out 50 deg and the room was a little... More

Great views of the Badlands are the highlight. Bed, bathroom, mini fridge and coffee maker are it, no tv or radio in any of the rooms. The owners were nice enough to lend us their radio for the night but there is very limited reception. I would try somewhere else next time.

Stayed one night while visiting the Badlands. Rooms are a little dated, but clean as a pin. Got an excellent night's rest, exactly what we were looking for. Had a refrigerator and a coffee maker, but no TV.

An older property that's in pretty good shape, this Budget Host Inn is no frills. Just the basics, a clean, comfy space with a bed and a bathroom, with a coffee maker, A/C, and fridge thrown in for good measure. The one genuine luxury is the view from this location. The Badlands are an awesome sight!

Good location but that is the best we can say about it. The motel half is not looking good and definitely needs attention. It looks like they stopped all maintenance a couple of years ago. The bathroom looks like the surrounding hills with multi-colored eroding and peeling caulk all around the tub. Peeling paint could be mistaken for heavy dandruff... More

This motel is convenient to The Badlands NP, the owner is super nice and helpful, we were thankful for the refrigerator and the rooms were clean. The beds are well worn, no TV, no hair dryer, no iron and the Internet is only available in the office and it closes promptly at 8pm. Call me spoiled, but when you are... More

I was not at all happy with this hotel. The tub was filthy, the bed was broke down, we hear every noise our neighbors made. When we go back next year, we will drive a little further to pay less and be more comfortable

I have read all of the reviews for this motel prior to staying and I am under the impression most of the negative reviews were from people expecting a 5 star hotel with cable tv and sauna. What you get is a clean room with no bed bugs and a refridgerator so you get out and enjoy the badlands instead... More
