The Apache is a great place to stay for those wanting a basic, clean room at a reasonable price. It's four blocks from Main St, which means you have to walk or drive to get to restaurants, etc. but in exchange it's much quieter than the places on Main...you don't have to listen to the trucks, etc. all night. The... More

Pilgrim? Yes, John Wayne supposedly stayed here while filing in the area. There are a couple of full size cutouts you can get your picture with in the lobby. I am not sure there have been a lot of renovations since then, but I found the staff very friendly and the rooms a little rough in looks, but comfortable sleeping... More

Last minute trip to Moab by my wife and I and there weren't many places available so we booked the John Wayne suite at the Apache. We'd stayed here probably 20 years ago and it was just as we remembered it. Really. The carpet was the same. The furniture was the same. I'll bet John Wayne even used that microwave... More

The three things I care about most. Clean hotel. Good internet. And a comfortable bed. We got 1 out of 3. The hotel was clean enough. Internet horrible. It would go in and out of wireless and my data. The bed was as hard as a rock. How difficult is it to buy some memory foam pads?? All in all... More

The registration staff did not greet to us, never smiled to us. Did not even stand up from the chair behind the counter when we entered the registration office. She only said two sentences to us during registration on: (1) asking me to fill in the address and car plate number (2) asking my payment card. Absolutely no additional information... More

Could not find a room in Moab under $200/night...until I discovered the Apache! Older hotel on a back street. The exterior could use some attention (looks a bit shabby in places), but my room was very large, clean, and comfy bed. A/C, free wi-fi, quiet even tho it's right along the street. A short drive to main area of Moab.... More

50s style motel and John Wayne... what could be better? Our group of friends has been staying at the Apache, each spring and fall for nearly 20 years. New TVs and mattresses, and a small pool, the Apache is the perfect spot for bikers (even providing garden hose for post-ride bike wash). Some might find the facility dated, but its... More

Yes I saved $100. Yes we went downtown and had dinner with a bottle of wine, that was virtually free because of the money we saved. As far as value goes this place is excellent. As far as rating I gave it average, nothing but the price was exceptional, and nothing was bad. It is a vintage property, appreciate it... More

Very friendly, family oriented place. Great price! Pets are allowed in certain rooms, if requested in advance. Pool available and conveniently located to downtown and biking and four wheeling trails and stores.

We choose it because there were limited options in Moab during our visit and now understand why it had availability. Owners are nice but the place really needs a refresh from top to bottom. Paint on the exterior, rusting stairways, room furniture almost as old as I am. And to top it off, the hot water was out for the... More
