The views from the room were amazing and house keeping was outstanding. The food/beverage and service was top notch. Their spa therapists are awesome! If you are wanting an ATV experience I recommend finding an outfit in town with better atvs. The Honda atvs are kind Rudy poot and create a steamy hot ride. Highly recommend the Jett Boat experience. The rafting is fun if you are wanting a float trip, but if you want to paddle, I would specify that kind of trip.
For over $1k/ night and with so many other options much more convenient to Moab, I was underwhelmed by Sorrel. The food was ridiculously overpriced and just not very good. The pool area was meh. There was just nothing that really distinguished this property and made in special, which is sad bc it has so much potential. The jacked-up prices for everything screamed financial desperation.
First things first, this is a working ranch with no concierge. That being said, you would never tell because the staff is super accommodating and really aims to please. Rooms were cleaned daily (including floors). You may notice the absence of an ice machine on property, but housekeepers will leave a bag in your freezer each day. Coffees (iced/hot) are complimentary too, etc. Our whole trip was magical. We arranged some activities through the resort and others ourselves. You must take the trail ride. It is memorable. We stayed 5 nights. The drive into Moab gets repetitive because you do it 2x a day--typically (due to the desert heat) you plan activities in the morning and evening while taking a siesta in the afternoon. The siesta (whether relaxing on porch or swimming) is a highlight. Ate several meals on property and really found the food to be tasty. My only complaint, which may help manage some traveler's expectations, is that the bathrooms are not glamour baths, which is standard elsewhere at this price point. However, I do appreciate the daily housekeeping service, which I haven't seen since covid.…
We loved Sorrel River Ranch. It’s magical. Highly recommend. Cant wait to go back. The grounds are immaculate. The view from the room was incredible. Right on the Colorado River. So close to Arches National Park.
The staff is fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The setting is stunning. The accommodations are outdated and there are lots of maintenance deficiencies throughout the property. Before you count on any on-property activities be sure to inquire about the availability of the ones you care about so you are not disappointed if they are not being offered during your stay. The value for the price we paid is a significant mismatch. For this reason, I do not plan to return unless/until there is a substantial investment in this property.
Our family of 5 (3 teens) stayed here for 4 nights. Beautiful property, helpful staff and great food. The adventure staff organized our outings with very good outfitters. Close to town. Highly recommend.
Wonderful setting with excellent service and meal. Great cocktails setting outside viewing the river & massive rock formations. One of the truly unique American views. The menu is excellent and our meal scrumptious. Could not imagine a more perfect special event.
We had stayed here several years ago and had a wonderful time. The cost of the room was commensurate with the quality of the resort. This time the room was the worst on the property and the cost was exorbitant. We'll not stay here again.
The ranch seems to be struggling with leadership and management and staffing issues. The workers who are there are friendly and trying hard tho. One tour we scheduled did not show. they offered to comp our breakfast but that never got taken off. check out was a bit confusing as the billing was not totally correct and it took time to try and short that out
Run down property and rooms not updated in at least 15 years, phone didn’t work in room, no room service, skeleton staff, a 2 star experience at best for $1500 per night. We regularly travel and stay at 5 star properties, and when you see a very high price point, you expect tons of service and a luxury experience. Not here. The property grounds aren’t properly maintained. They charge for everything. No mini bar, no free breakfast nothing, and $1500 per night.
