I've had private rooms, dorm beds, and just camped at the Lizard and have nothing but positive things to say about the place. It's budget, folks. That means no "complimentary" breakfast(you know you pay for that, right?)", no brand spankin' new flatscreen in your room, and yeah, sometimes things go unfixed for a short awhile, or temporary repairs are made...

Very basic hostel but friendly. Double room had heater and air conditioner and small chest fro things. No wardrobe. Toilets and showers are kept clean. Dixie Palm: friendly welcome. Great little coffee machine, shampoo , good air con, hot showers, comfortable bed, sating area with desk, alarm clock, plenty wardrobe and drawer space, parking outside room.

On April 9th, 2017 my girlfriend and I stayed in one of the cabins on a cross country road trip. After a couple nights in Canyonlands, we crashed at the Lizard in order to shower and rest up before a long drive to Truckee the next day. We mistakenly brought an extra blanket in from the car just in case...

Having run this place for 30 some years I have learned a bit about bed bugs. Unfortunately they are a hazard of the industry, not just hostels but all forms of lodging establishments. Guests have brought them in before and I’m sure they will again. Fortunately we have learned to deal with them effectively once we know about them. I...

Because moab is a rip off tourist trap there are usually no rooms under $100. Lazy lizard is the same price as camping but you get a shower and bed. If you've never holsteled it can seem loud or crowded. Follow all the rules, dont stomp when walking, keep voices down. Respect the other guests.

Great price; kind and knowledgeable staff, right on the south side of Moab. Well, I biked into Moab and this place was like an oasis of fun and logistical support. The staff helped me with any bicycle questions including: repair options within the city, could order online parts and have them sent here, and of course the world famous trails....

We had a cozy little cabin at Lazy Lizard and weren't there much, since we came to be out Jeeping, but it was a terrific value, and as good or better hostel experience as we have had anywhere. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible, parking was great, and it's close to everything we were there for.

Lazy Lizard - a beacon of hope for the weary traveler. At just $12 a night for a bed and $20 for a private cabin (in the winter) there is simply no beating the price. Staff here are very nice and happy. A+

I stopped by the lazy lizard as I was camping and wanted to shower after a long day of hiking in Arches NP. They have their business listed in the market bathroom as a place to shower in the city. I came in and asked for the shower and he was happy to oblige for a $3, which was fine....

Well at first I was confused as to why you were denied a shower. It is true that we prefer not to take cards for small charges, but if the guest has no cash we usually just grumble a bit and then agree to take the card. As I read the review again I notice that this is exactly what...

We tried booking a hotel, last minute, in Moab, but they were all high priced or full. We got a tip from an anonymous tourist, called Lazy Lizard, and snagged a good, cheap campsite to save the day. The common area, kitchen, showers, etc. were all clean. Will have to remember this place next time we're in Moab.
