Located in a quiet neighborhood, the Laurel Lodge provides beautiful forested views over the Potomac River. Our innkeeper Chris provided a written history of the house highlighting most of the quirky details the builder included. Civil war artifacts, such as bayonets and cannonballs are encased in the concrete paving and lintels. Bountiful breakfasts are served in the first floor dining... More

Laurel Lodge shares honors with the best of the best places we have ever stayed. Harper's Ferry is a charming historic town located at the convergence of two great rivers - the Potomac and the Shenandoa. Throw in that the Appalachian Trail and the C&O Canal trails merge and are part of this town and you have the makings for... More

We made reservations here for a special getaway weekend. The innkeeper, Chris was great to coordinate our trip with, very knowledgeable and helpful. Upon checking in, he did an outstanding job ensuring we were well taken care of. He gave a great tour of the house, explained the Harper’s Ferry area and gave us plenty of recommendations on things to... More

Laurel Lodge is a wonderful, historical home. The views from the porch are incredible. The Potomac is breathtaking and the wildlife, amazing. I saw a Bald Eagle whilst eating breakfast! Such a treat! Another 5-star rating to add to the growing list. My husband and I chose to stay here during a weekend trip to Harpers Ferry. Our stay here was wonderful. It was so peaceful and quiet. It felt like we were a part of the mountains, especially on the back porch, which offers a panoramic view of the mountains. We stayed... More

I wish we had stayed more than one night! This beautiful Craftsman style house has so much to enjoy! The back porch offers the most beautiful view of the river and a pair of eagles who make occasional appearances. The breakfast was delish, and all locally sourced. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. We chose the Maple View room and... More

We had a very warm welcome from Chris who was also prepared with good tips and guides for the area. Pine View is a spacious comfortable room with a beautiful and memorable view. Chris's breakfasts with local produce are delicious. Harper's Ferry is a wonderfully interesting Park site, lovely walks by the river and between the town and visitor centre;... More

A wonderful spot for a getaway. We and friends stayed for two nights while attending the Contemporary American Theater Festival in nearby Shepherdstown. Laurel Lodge was a great choice and made the trip (also to celebrate my birthday) a special one. This distinctive B&B is about 100 years old, lovingly maintained, and full of quirky touches from its original life.... More

Spent one night here, checking out the C&O bike trail. Inn keeper was very knowledgeable about bike trails in the area, and gave us good suggestions on where to ride. Breakfast was very good, and plentiful. Inn is immaculate, with beautiful furnishings. Be aware that the check in time is 4:00 - 7:00. (Not earlier)
