We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic house. We received a warm welcome when we arrived as well as some good travel tips. We stayed in the Garrett room which was nicely decorated with privacy on the top floor. The hot breakfast was delicious - one of the best we've had. Highly recommend for comfortable and relaxing stay.

General Stonewall Jackson stayed here at beggining of the Civil War. He wrote to his wife about at all rose outside his bedroom window. Don't worry. Your host provides all the modern convenience in electricity, plumbing and temperature control. The indies decor is tasteful and comfortable.. We slept well in the quiet atmosphere. It is about a mile to the... More

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Jackson Rose. The couple that runs the place are welcoming and gracious. They cooked an amazing - locally sourced - breakfast each morning and left out apple cider/sherry/cookies for us at night. They offered beer/wine when we arrived and helped point us toward the right hiking trails. The room (Jackson Rose... More

...but the welcome we received as we arrived from a long and arduous trip was delighful. The hosts are gracious and unassuming. We had traveled all day in the rain and it was a refreshing change to be invited into their warm and cozy home. The place is filled with Victoriana. We stayed in the Garrett Suite, which was bright... More

We booked this rather last minute when we decided to include Harpers Ferry on our road trip itinerary. We were so glad we did! The town is worth a visit, all sorts of history to learn there!. After a long day of driving, we so appreciated the glasses of wine provided by our host. Our room was clean, quiet and... More

The historic Inn is so beautiful, clean and wonderfully maintained. Harpers Ferry is also a historic and lovely town worth a visit. The hosts Phil and Deb are what made this stay so special for us though; well them & their awesome huge dog Roy! From the relaxed & friendly welcome, their unobtrusiveness to the lavish, thoughtful breakfast (that catered... More

This is an absolutely lovely and very characterful B&B where the hosts/proprietors, Deb and Phil, are very welcoming and attentive. We certainly appreciated the welcome drink after our drive from Baltimore and visit earlier in the day to the site of the Battle of Antietam. For us Brits, it was a very special experience to stay in the room formerly... More

This can only be described as perfect. Everything just right, rooms, beds, facilities, food and friendliness. We had a lovely top floor room with very good bed, very quiet, excellent shower. We appreciated a welcome drink and the absence of prissy notices and rules. Breakfast was just right, and we enjoyed the added information about Stonewall Jackson. Terrific, thank you!

Our stay was pure perfection from beginning to end. What a lovely place! Couldn't have been more comfortable. Phil and Deb were outstanding hosts and cooks. I am a clean fanatic and there was not a speck of dust to be found. We very much look forward to returning.

I truly enjoyed my 2 night stay here. The hosts, Deb and Phil made me feel at home and were excellent hosts. I stayed in the 3rd floor Garrett Room-- quiet, comfy sled bed complete with tv and a private bath/shower. The breakfasts were incredible and quite filling. Everything was homemade and delicious. This place is located within walking distance... More
