The rooms were very spacious, we had a king bed on the third floor, bathroom was clean and tidy. Free wifi throughout the hotel. Location was a nice stroll to shops and cafes on chestnut st and a short cab ride to fishermans wharf.

This was the third hotel along our west coast trip, La Luna Inn. We stayed for 3 nights from 4th to 7th of september of 2012, our room was nº 106 and I am going to tell you some advises about this hotel. This hotel has a good front desk and the check-in was fast and their staff were friendly,...

The rooms were clean and spacious, the front desk very pleasant! Even offered to let us use their Breakfast Area, after hours, to scrapbook. The Breakfast was very simple, and we didn't have it the 2nd day. Coffee was the only good part. Parking is included, which is great, but very limited. Walgreens and restaurants are close. Definately a good...

the rooms are incredibly small. the bathroom is small and has no place to set your toiletries. on a busy street, and hard to get into unless you make a convoluted U turn. I wouldn't stay here again for free.

The motel rooms were clean, undercover parking. Breakfast room was a little crowded. The motel is on a really busy street, but we slept well regardless!. The price was good, and location was good.

Me and my friends spent two nights in this hotel. Do not expect Hilton however rooms are spacious. Bathroom was renovated so I cannot say a bad word about bathroom quality: good lighting, beautiful tiles, fresh towels. There is a hairdryer and toiletries. Room: bed is huge. There is only coffee maker (no tea maker)so bring your own cattle if...

We stayed here on the way back from Yosemite as a cheap and cheerful choice with free parking before we left SF. We got a good rate online, and with the wifi and a basic breakfast thrown in it looked like a good deal. Our room was so dark, with no overhead light and 2 power sockets. The bed was...

I met two girlfriends in San Francisco for a four-day stay and was not in charge of reservations this trip. A friend who has not been to SF previously booked the room and I can pretty much roll with most anything so wasn't too worried after reading a few reviews. The property is an older motor lodge on Lombard which...

My husband and I stayed here after driving around San Francisco looking for a reasonably priced place to stay during our vacation. We spotted La Luna and decided it was worth checking out. The updates they have made to the building and the rooms are great. You can tell it's an older structure but they have made the inside look...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
